Birikos Hotel & Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We can’t say enough about this hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt and were treated like family. When we arrived we were greeted with big hugs from the family/owners of the hotel and Dimitris and Maria offered us a taste of his homemade wine which was absolutely delicious.

This hotel is a family owned/operated with a beautiful farmland, waking up to the rooster calls with goats wondering in the fields, large vegetable gardens, lemon trees, blackberry trees and fig trees. Christopher makes the best special coffees, especially the iced coffee.

The pool and area was always very clean. The pool staff were up at the crack of dawn cleaning the pool and sun decks.

The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better. The bus stop was right outside the hotel which ran every 30 minutes. There was a full service grocery store beside the hotel which had everything you would need. A fresh bakery just down the street was amazing along with various restaurants to choose from. The white sandy beach was within walking distance from the hotel.

We will definitely come back for a stay. This is a #1 hotel stay!!

If you ever want to feel like home in Agios Prokopios, choose your stay in Birikos Hotel & Suites. Hotel is running by the kindest and most hospitable family of Maria, her husband and kids, whome I´d like to say one more Evcharisto for everything! :) As a solo female traveler I felt safe and always welcomed to say Hi to everyone there. Spent my 8 nights in a lovely Garden view studio, where you can watch the mountains of Naxos, relax in a shadow of grapevine, play with cats and have a great privacy from the outside world. Absolute chill. Swimming pool area is a bliss as well, letting yourself have a nap on a floating bed with veils in lazy afternoon is a perfect cherry on top :) All same as on pictures of the hotel websites. Breakfast, drinks and cleaning are 5* with no doubt. Herb garden and veggies, figs you can pick directly from the trees.. And all of this only 2 minutes walk from the most beautiful beach I have seen on Greek islands. Bus stop right in front of the hotel as well as a hotel parking lot big enough for many cars. We loved everything about Birikos. 100% would stay here again if we go back to Naxos.

The family: Maria and her family are so kind and hospitable, always ready to say hello and answer questions. We got there around 1pm and met Maria, who asked us if we wanted juice or water. She had the room ready for us early which was so nice.

The location & facilities: The hotel is a 4-5 minute walk to the beach down the main street. There are a few shops, restaurants, and places to rent a car. It was really easy to get around. I also loved that the hotel is set back from the street, so you don't hear any noise from the street in your room or at the pool. The pool was also great, with the lounge chairs & cabanas.

Breakfast: Breakfast was made fresh every day and has a selection of Greek things & typical breakfast fare. Maria's son makes you the coffee of your choice or there is filter coffee and tea. Fresh fruit everyday - truly the best breakfast I've had in a hotel.
