Tanines was a wonderful find- a dreamy rooftop restaurant at the 18 Grapes Hotel near Agios Prokopios, and the perfect, special end to our honeymoon. While itâs on the pricier side, itâs absolutely worth it, with generous portions, incredible service, and a stunning sunset view.
The staff was very attentive and thoughtful. We were welcomed with a complimentary starter of small bites of fried Naxian bread (not pictured), and before dessert, they brought out a delicious lemon curd palate cleanser paired with a small glass of raki.
Pictured are the 18 Grapes salad (which had some sort of meat on top that wasnât listed?), fried Naxian gruyĂšre cheese, New Zealand ribs with gnocchi, and fried stuffed calamari. The gruyĂšre was interesting, though we probably couldâve gone without it. The baklava was huge and I wish we had a few more people to share it with!
Overall, such a lovely and memorable experience. Highly recommend if youâre looking for a romantic, elevated dinner...

The setting is on a roof top and accommodates 20 to 30 (at a guess) across the tables, next to a rooftop bar and pool, with views out across Naxos. For an enhanced view, book as we did, just in time to watch the sun start to set, at which point the lights and...
