Our 5-night stay at Iliada Villas was so relaxing. It was exactly what we needed after the bustle of touring mainland Greece. For one, we parents finally got a bedroom/bathroom/balcony to ourselves upstairs while the kids had their own space downstairs. ||In the mornings, we filled our breakfast plates and ate on our patio overlooking the pool. The buffet usually included some kind of eggs, meat, cereal, yogurt with different toppings, fruit and sweets, plus coffee, juice and milk. ||Agios Prokopios beach/restaurants is a 10-15 minute walk, either through the red lakes (see Google Maps) or along the road. Walking along the road got a little dicey with cars speeding past and no sidewalks, and at night, the lake route is not lit. I'm glad we opted to stay away from town, but it may not be for everyone. The bus stop (outside Lago Mares hotel) was about 10 minutes walk along the road. ||Patricia was an excellent hostess and super friendly -- she reminded me of Sophia Vergara! The villa was spotless, the A/C worked great, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we'd need IF we chose to use it. The room came with plenty of towels, including wraps for the beach/pool. And having a clothes washer was a big benefit. ||Iliada Villas is an excellent choice for families looking to relax in an...
Read moreOur trip to Naxos was planned on the fly so picking a place to stay was a roll of the dice. Iliada Villas was the perfect spot for us. Just a bit off the beaten path of the main drag of Agios Prokopios, which is about an 8 minutes walk away , there are shops and restaurants galore. Supermarkets, sweet shops and people watching. Stelida Beach was a 5 minute walk from the villa where bathers could rent an umbrella for the day and swim in the gorgeous aqua waters. The property of Iliada Villas is managed by Patricia in the day and Emma at night. Both of them were wonderfully attentive to any concerns we had. Our rooms were clean and the area is quiet. Breakfast is served in the morning and there is a variety of food for everyone. The pool in the center of the villas was a big hit for the children. A washing machine in each villa is a huge bonus so we didn’t have to go to the laundromat every few days. All in all we had an amazing stay. If you’re reading this review because you’re trying to decide where to stay in Naxos, look no further. Iliada Villas was an incredible...
Read moreWe loved Iliada Villas! Wonderful location, delicious breakfasts, roomy villa with everything we needed, gorgeous view, a heavenly, refreshing pool, and friendly cats - what more could you ask? If you are staying on Naxos, this is an ideal base from which to explore the island. It's very close to the beach, but we rented a car for a few days and that allowed us to explore the interior of the island, check out other beaches (Plaka was our favorite), and drive into town to have wonderful dinners and - you really cannot miss this if you're on Naxos - climb the hill to experience sunset by the Portara. ||But more than anything, our experience was enhanced by true hospitality. The staff cleaned our villa to perfection each day, we set up car rental and massages without any difficulty, and since our departing ferry was not until early afternoon, we were able to lounge by the pool after checkout and swim until the last possible second, given access to a guest shower to clean up before we left. ||Choose Iliada Villas if you are planning to stay on Naxos. You'll be so...
