the walk to the beach involves a busy narrow road that is not “ideally close” to the hotel. It’s a hike on a hot day with beach gear. Not safe for children or seniors. Also beware that the walk to the beach is a bit of a down hill walk. Which, in turn, is an uphill walk on the return. Definitely not convenient if you like to traverse from the beach to the hotel throughout the day. There is a bus every 30 mins. which costs 1.80€ and can be quite crowded during peak season. Bus tickets must be purchased at the mini mart near the beach, not on board the bus. The hotel shuttle requires an hour notice and was unavailable both times we requested it. The family suite is nothing more than 2 adjoining rooms, like a Ramada Inn or Holiday Inn in the States. Do not be fooled by the number of stars of this hotel. Many of the photos on their website are of the neighboring hotels. For example the life-sized chess board in the hotel next door. As well as several of the other beautiful pools. This hotel has only one pool. Overall the breakfast was average. Again, not 4 star. The front desk staff was nice enough when asked about Island tours. The management staff left much to be desired when inquiring about safer alternatives to get to the beach. The canned line is that the hotel website reads the hotel is 350 meters from the sea. As a crow flies, we...

Read moreA fantastic hotel tucked within walking distance of the beach. And to address the dude below, the hotel doesn’t pretend to be on the beach. It is within walking distance, but it’s not like you’d want to go back and forth several times a day. If you want that, do what I did and rent a car. Then drive south to a secluded beach, which is way better than the crowded beach nearby. The staff at this hotel spoil guests with their amazing breakfast (spanakopita, cheese pastry cake, crepes, Greek eggs, Naxos Greek yogurt and cheeses and croissants) and friendly service. In fact, their restaurant has some of the best food anywhere, and Im not just saying that. The property is beautiful, yard and swing set for kids is a bonus, as is on-site parking, which makes up for the small pool. Thank you for all the wonderful day trip recommendations. I had the time of my life. Will absolutely be back and will bring my friends and...
