Location..... location..... location is perfect !!!! Right near the city center. The air conditioner in the building was not working and it was MISERABLE in the rooms. The staff had electricians come work on the problem but it couldn't be fixed. When asked for a fan to at least have some sort of ventilation they didn't have any. Hotel needs an overall make over in the off season. The bathroom in 412 smelled old, the shower curtains needed to be changed and cleaned (bottom was filthy), it says what all comes with the room but more than 1/4 of the items are obsolete (complimentary water, etc). The sad part is I paid for 2 rooms with no type of compensation for the poor stay. This hotel is reliable, great staff, it's near the center, customer service is phenomenal (younger gentlemen who works the 3-11 shift he also makes good drinks) Shower was decent. Bed was super comfortable. The balcony sea view was decent from the 4th floor. The balcony is way smaller on the Sea view side. I didn't like how small the tv was (17-20"), not a smart tv (didn't understand the tv but I found soccer so I was ok), you can't control the AC/heat. This hotel has the potential to be phenomenal but I think over time it fell off. The manager is a sweetheart and means well but limited to what she can do. I would book here again during the winter months and go in with no expectations. If you need a bed for the evening for a good price this is the place.

Llegamos al hotel una hora y pico después de haber realizado la reserva y allí nos dijeron que ellos no habían recibido el email de confirmación y que no nos podían dar la habitación. Nosotros les enseñamos la confirmación que teníamos en el correo electrónico de nuestro teléfono móvil y como nuestro banco ya nos había cobrado el importe de la reserva. Ante nuestra sorpresa siguieron insistiendo en que mientras ellos no recibieran el email de confirmación de la reserva no nos podían dar alojamiento. Pedimos hablar con el director del hotel, convencidos de que todo era un malentendido y que sería solucionado de inmediato, pero cuál fue nuestra sorpresa cuando el director reiteró la negativa a ofrecer-nos la habitación. Intentamos explicarle que si había un retardo en la comunicación de nuestra reserva por parte de algún intermediario, o por cualquier otro problema técnico no era nuestra culpa y que mostrándole nuestra confirmación y nuestro cobro bancario debería ser suficiente, pero el director del hotel, dando muestra de su poca profesionalidad y de su total ausencia del más mínimo conocimiento elemental de cómo tratar a unos clientes que han pagado una reserva, nos respondía que tampoco era su culpa y que no tenía ninguna garantía de que iba a cobrar el importe. Después de una buena inversión de tiempo para intentar hacer entender a ese poco cualificado director que la reserva era correcta y que ya habíamos pagado, la única respuesta que obtuvimos es que sólo nos daba la habitación si la volvíamos a pagar y que cuando él recibiera la confirmación y el cobro, entonces nos devolvería el importe al mismo número de tarjeta con la que debíamos hacer el nuevo pagamiento. No dábamos crédito al humillante trato y a la falta de profesionalidad de semejante sujeto que alguien había puesto a la dirección de un hotel de 3 estrellas, incapaz de asumir el más mínimo riesgo ni la más mínima responsabilidad, que aunque no fuera directamente suya, sí que lo era de su empresa, de sus intermediarios, de su banco o de la imperfección del sistema de confirmación de las empresas con las que trabajaba. Así pues, nos vimos obligados a pagar de nuevo el hotel. El día siguiente ya no vimos al director, pero la chica de recepción nos comunicó que ya habían recibido la confirmación y el cobro y que nos devolvían el dinero que habíamos vuelto a pagar de nuevo por la habitación. Delante nuestro llamó a su banco y nos dijo que ya había dado la orden de que nos ingresaran el importe a la misma tarjeta con la que habíamos pagado y que la devolución era automática. Esperamos un rato pero no recibí ningún mensaje del banco conforme el cobro de tal importe aunque la chica insistió en que ya nos lo habían devuelto. También queremos resaltar el mal estado de la habitación, con el parquet estropeado, la ducha oxidada y los muebles viejos y descantonados. CUSTOMER RESPONSE AT THE HOTEL RESPONSE I appreciate your apologies but I think that everybody (except you) can understand that your behaviour was not the right one, anyway, everyone can judge the facts for themselves and draw their conclusions. I’m sorry you didn’t like the photos and the comments, but I did not invent them, they are absolutely true and faithful to reality. I also remind you that it is not our tour operator, but YOUR tour operator, since it works with your company; we only made a reservation through google with this tour operator. I'm sure this is also very easy to understand for everyone. Finally I want to thank you for your response and to inform you that in the end, all this events will be positive for your hotel and for your customers, because I am sure that you will correct the material in poor condition of the hotel and will treat your clients better if it ever happens again something similar, and then your hotel will still be better known in your area and I will be happy to have contributed to improve the stay of your customers. Angekommen sehr freundlich bedient der erste Schreck im Zimmer nicht sauber Laminat mit Löcher hellhörig der Zimmer und keine Dusche vorhanden wie gebucht sondern Badewanne ich ging runter meldete dies seine höfliche Art war nach meiner Reklamation weg er meinte sie haben nur noch dieses Zimmer und sei mit Badewanne. Er sass dort mit einer Dame andere Rezeption sie tauschen sich Blicke aus die man deuten konnte nicht sehr angenehm bin gelästert wird vor der Kundschaft .Also ging ich hoch wollte kurz duschen nach der duschen konnte ich mich noch rechtzeitig festhalten da am Boden ein Loch war abgedeckt mit einem runden dreckigen Plastik und das Wasser fliesst nicht ab meine Tochter musste nach mir in die Badewanne mit Wasser wir gingen nach unten ich meldete die Mängel des Bades. er meinte der schnippisch die Hotelmanager ist morgen früh da. Also gingen wir frühstücken wenigstens etwas gutes reichhaltig aber die Säfte sind mit Wasser vermischt. Ich erzählte der Managerin die auch hoch kam und alles anschaute und mir sogar recht gab sie war sehr sehr freundlich meinte danke sind Sie zu mir gekommen und haben nicht eine schlechte Bewertung mit Fotos hochgeladen ich meinte man könnte darüber reden die Leute müssen trotzdem die Wahrheit ja wissen auf was sie sich einlassen. Als wir zum Strand fuhren und zurück kamen war alles geputzt und neu geflickt und ausgetauscht worden. Der Lob geht an Tatjana (Hotel Managerin )herzlichen Dank Die zwei von den drei Sternen gehen an dich sonst hätte ich es nur mit einem Stern bewertet ich hätte vier Sterne gegeben aber ich hätte wenigstens ein Preis Nachlass nach diesen Strapazen erwartet wie jeder Gast. Leider hat auch beim launch Back das weglassen das Fleisch wie dreimal angekündigt von uns nicht berücksichtigt. mit Tatjana bin ich guter Hinsicht das alles sauberer und geregelter wird und das Personal besser geschult wird denn Ansprüchen der Kundschaft.

We stayed at Olympic Palladium for 17 days, during July 24 and 2 days of August. I ahev to say that we, me and my wife, have been, overall, well satisfied.||First of all, the stuff is very, very polite, we didn't meet a single impolite person in the hotel's stuff. Special thanks have to go to the hotel manager, Mrs Tatiana, who was very kind, and did everything in her power to solve a problem during the second day of our stay. She succeeded to make us feel grateful towards her. Must have been the best hotel manager I've ever met-at least on of the best. Also Mrs Aggeliki on 4th floor, cleaning lady, is so polite. ||Secondly, the price-value for money. This hotel offered a very nice package for the 17 days of our stay, much better or better than many other similar places in Rethymno. ||The hotel is at a very convenient location. Not beachfront, as you may know when you booked, but other than that (and of course the money you save for same quality-or worse, beachfront), the location is just GREAT. Near just EVERYTHING in Rethymno, in walking distance. I have to say, Rethymno has many, many AMAZING bakeries, so try them out. One of them is "Chamogiorgakis" which is 1 minute walk from the hotel, try it out. Others are "Nyktaris", "Rustico", "Savoidakis". Ask about. ||Breakfast has been satisfying for a 3 star hotel. Not astonishing, but well enough for a 3 star. And, with some variety of eggs, which is a big plus for a 3 star. ||The mattress, and the bed, has been astonishing, I have to say that. Must have been,if not king size, most probably queen size bed, really enjoyed it, and the matress was great. However, the pillows were inadequate. Didn't find even one to be enough comfortable. Perhaps if I had asked, the stuff could provide me with some alternative, however I didn't ask. Nevertheless I didn't ask, but the basic pillows were below basis.||Also, I have not been very satisfied from the soundproof quality of the walls between the rooms unfortunately... However perhaps it's just me for this, because it was high season, so many people around, OK, but I still believe things could be better for that matter. However I don't necessarily consider it a big problem. Also the stuff were very quick to assist us when we asked them to speak to other customers who were... loud, let's say at 1 or 3 am.||Hotel has a nice view, and many rooms do provide some sea-view. I have to mention the gym, which was very big for a 3 star. I mean, you know hotels' gyms right? They are not big. This one, was equal to gyms I've seen in 5 stars. I don't mean it's huge, it's not, but for a 3*, is more than great.||Overall, I would recommend this hotel to someone to stay there. We have been pleased, and I have to say that this is more because of Mrs Tatiana...

We picked this hotel in Rehtymnon as base for visiting Crete, we are satisfied with the stay even though marvelous Crete would need not just one but a couple of bases at least. Centrally located in Rethymnon, it's easy to reach by car or public transport either from Chania or Heraklion, parking isn't a issue even on peak season but, unfortunately the hotel doesn't have a dedicated parking. The lobby is an open space shared with the bar and the dining room, the free wi-fi can be used only in the lobby that luckily we never found overcrowded, the signal is strong enough to let you browse sitting outside the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, since we arrived pretty late they prepared a cold but tasty dinner in our room. On departure day, we could store our luggage and have a shower in a dedicated room downstairs. Rooms aren't huge but nicely decorated, the bathroom was also nice even though our bathtub was fitted with the infamous curtain, the balcony had a couple of chairs to chill a bit after an intense day enjoying the wonderful Cretan beaches. The breakfast and dinner buffet was ok, enough choices for every taste, maybe a little too repetitive. Being in the center of a nice village may help after a full day driving on the bumpy roads of Crete, there are plenty of nice shops and restaurants to visit. If you don't have a car or don't feel like driving for a day, you can check Rethymnon beach, it's an ordinary beach and beds&umbrella costs 10 euros instead of 5 in much more beautiful spots...

Location..... location..... location is perfect !!!! Right near the city center.

The air conditioner in the building was not working and it was MISERABLE in the rooms. The staff had electricians come work on the problem but it couldn't be fixed. When asked for a fan to at least have some sort of ventilation they didn't have any.

Hotel needs an overall make over in the off season. The bathroom in 412 smelled old, the shower curtains needed to be changed and cleaned (bottom was filthy), it says what all comes with the room but more than 1/4 of the items are obsolete (complimentary water, etc). The sad part is I paid for 2 rooms with no type of compensation for the poor stay.

This hotel is reliable, great staff, it's near the center, customer service is phenomenal (younger gentlemen who works the 3-11 shift he also makes good drinks) Shower was decent. Bed was super comfortable.

The balcony sea view was decent from the 4th floor. The balcony is way smaller on the Sea view side.

I didn't like how small the tv was (17-20"), not a smart tv (didn't understand the tv but I found soccer so I was ok), you can't control the AC/heat.

This hotel has the potential to be phenomenal but I think over time it fell off. The manager is a sweetheart and means well but limited to what she can do.

I would book here again during the winter months and go in with no expectations. If you need a bed for the evening for a good price this...
