We’ve been visiting Lindos Horizon for over a decade now, and although we enjoy holidays elsewhere too, this is the one place we always come back to. It’s more than just a getaway—it’s become our second home.|The Pool & Views|The pool is large, spotless, and well-equipped with showers and toilets. It’s spacious enough for all the studio guests, and inflatables are welcome too—yet it never feels crowded. The view from the pool and bar is absolutely stunning. Most guests end up turning their sunbeds to face the panorama rather than the pool itself. There are plenty of loungers, though it’s fair to say some early risers do claim their spot at sunrise to watch the Acropolis glow, followed by a coffee at the pool bar.|The Bar & Staff|The pool bar team are brilliant. Stavros is a gentleman! —friendly, helpful, and always happy to answer questions or book restaurants for you. He’s a constant presence and makes everything run smoothly. The two bar lads working this year were fantastic—long shifts, cheeky smiles, and always made us feel looked after. Even for a nightcap at 2.00 in the morning!|We usually have breakfast, lunch, and a few drinks each day, which comes to around €50–€80 for the two of us. Stavros runs a daily tab, which you can settle before heading into town in the evening—very convenient.|Food & Farewells|The food has always been excellent. Sadly, Erana the cook is retiring this year, which is a real loss. She has greeted me with coffee every morning without needing to ask and consistently served up delicious snacks, and she’ll be missed—not just for her cooking, but for her warmth and laugh.|Location & Getting Around|Every room and the pool area offer breathtaking views of the Acropolis. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk into Lindos, with a handy mini market just five minutes away for essentials.|The walk back from town is steep, especially after dinner and drinks, but taxis from the square cost around €5–€7 for four people. You might not always get dropped right at the gate, so we only tip if they do!|Cleanliness & Rooms|We can’t fault the cleanliness. The two cleaners are on-site from 7am to 7pm and do a cracking job.|We’ve stayed in various rooms over the years—they’re all spacious, simply furnished in traditional Greek style, and have the basics you need. The beds are comfy, the balconies offer superb views, and the Wi-Fi works well.|The kitchenette is always spotless, though we rarely use it thanks to the bar and snacks. Bathrooms are clean, though the shower and taps can be a bit temperamental, and yes, the floor might get wet—but it dries quickly.|Air conditioning is a must for us after a day in the sun or a siesta, and while it’s an optional extra, it’s well worth it. The safe is included with the air con.|Late Checkout & Final Touches|Stavros kindly let us check out late at 6pm, which made our last day far more relaxed. We shared the room with two other couples who couldn’t get late checkout due to availability. There’s a small extra charge, but it’s worth every Euro for a final cool-down and shower before leaving. And the staff waving goodbye brings a tear to the eye when we go|Final Thoughts|We used to wonder why people return to the same place year after year when there are so many Greek islands and other places to explore. But Lindos Horizon has answered that for us. It’s not just the location—it’s the people, the atmosphere, and the sense of belonging. Many couples return year after year, and it’s easy to see why.|It’s a fantastic little hotel in the perfect spot, with guests who become friends and a vibe that’s all about relaxing and enjoying life.|Yes—we’re already booked...
Read moreWe visited Lindos Horizon for a week in September 2025. The apartments were booked on previous reviews, so we wanted to leave our own review to help others make a decision on their holiday destination.||The apartments are located an approx. 15 minute walk from Lindos village itself with an easy walk downhill, and a moderate exertion to walk back up hill - dependant on your fitness level - or you can get a taxi or golf buggy for between 5-10 Euros.||On our arrival Eric greeted us and helped carry our bags to our apartment. At 1.30am it was so lovely to be met at the gate by a smiling face and a helpful attitude. We were shown to the room which was one of the ground floor studios. The studio, as in previous reviews, was clean, tidy, had everything we needed but yes, the bathroom could do with a little updating and the grout touching up between the tiles. But this didn't deter or ruin anything. The studio was large with comfortable twin beds, pushed together, a sofa/seating area and a dining table with 2 chairs. The large bathroom had a bath with a shower over, and in typical greek fashion, no shower screen or shower curtain. But don't worry - any water soon drains or evaporates away. There was a safe in the cupboard for which you will receive a key. Outside on the balcony/patio area was a table with 3 chairs and the most wonderful views over the Acropolis. The cleaners came round about 10am each morning, so if you are a late riser, they may wake you up.||Yes, you do have to pay for air conditioning and the 'tourist' tax. But you may not need the air con as the sun disappears behind the mountain late afternoon.||Lindos Horizon has a cafe bar which serves breakfast/lunch/snacks and the food is excellent, freshly cooked, reasonably priced and great portion sizes. We loved the Gyros.||There were always free sunbeds around the pool and the sunbeds themselves are very comfortable with padded mattresses. The pool area was quiet (no banging music) immaculately kept, clean, and had a book swap corner, pool table and shaded areas. The field and the mountain behind had resident goats who were amusing to watch, if a bit smelly at times, but you only smelt them when they were near to the fence.||The thing that really struck us about Lindos Horizon was Stavros (the owner) and his wonderful team. Such friendly, hard working and helpful people - they really look after you and will help you with anything you need - loaning out umbrellas for the beach, recommending restaurants, organising Taxis' etc. ||A lot of the people who were there when we visited were frequent visitors, and the ones we spoke to had been visiting the resort for anywhere in between 8 and 30 years! A true reflection of how good the Lindos Horizon is. There was even a farewell gathering for some departee's - demonstrating the lovely friendships made over the years.||We booked via Jet 2 holidays and had a very good experience with them.||Overall, we would thoroughly recommend Lindos Horizon (but not necessarily for families with young children as it does not have enough to entertain the younger guests apart from a small childrens pool). ||A big thank you to Stavros, Eric and Harry for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. We will definitely be...
Read moreThe Pool|Pool was really big and clean including the communal toilets. It was plenty big enough for all the guests at the studios. Most people had inflatables too and nobody really got in each others way. The view from the pool was amazing and most days we turned our chairs so as to look out on the view rather than the pool. There were a lot of sunbeds and possibly just about enough for everyone but it is wise to look at putting towels down around 7ish to guarantee your spot although there wasn’t any mad dash like in some videos you see.||Pool Bar|The staff were amazing. Stavros is extremely helpful and approachable and will answer any questions you may have.|The 2 lads working this year were equally friendly and worked long hours with a smile on their face.|Drinks ordered were brought to your sunbeds. It really felt like you were being looked after.|Prices were fair for Lindos. Water was cheap.|A lunch and a handful of drinks each day for the 3 of us cost from €50-€70. Stavros runs a tab each day so you don’t have to faff around with cash all day which was great as I could leave my cards and cash in the safe.|The food was fantastic. The cook retires this year which is a shame as she was lovely and rustled together a Gyros that rivalled any in town.||Location|The location was amazing. Fantastic view of the acropolis from any room and the pool.|About 10-15 minutes from Lindos. The bus depot is at the bottom of the road and can reach anywhere on the island from there.|Mini Market also very close.|It’s steep though. We are mobile enough for this not to be a problem but the taxis and buggy’s are cheap and only cost about €5-€7 each way.||Cleanliness |As said, all communal areas were clean. The 2 cleaners were there from 7am all the way through to 7pm cleaning. They did a great job.||Rooms|The room was plenty big enough for us. The beds were comfortable. The balcony was huge. My son spent most of his “room time” there as the views were great and Wi-Fi worked better there. We took the dining table out there one evening and had our own Greek style picky bits tea.|The rooms were clean with the exception that the room could have done with a refresh. The kitchenette although clean was tired and needs a little attention.|Again, the same could be said for the bathroom. We were more than happy with the condition of the rooms but I know some of my friends and family may take issue with it.|The air conditioner was a must in the heat. The safe comes part of the cost with air con.|Stavros allowed us a late check out to 18:00 which made our last day easier as we could spend the whole day in the sun and shower before leaving.||Overall|I have always thought why people would keep going back to the same place when there are so many Greek islands to explore, but this place has made me want to return. It’s a fantastic little hotel in the perfect spot with families who are there to have a great time...
