Ethrion — Hotel in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

Visiting Syros Island for the first time I was very lucky to be in such a hotel excellent location near port,shops,churches..etc ,the view remarkable and the owner George is an excellent host,his knowledge of the island and history is out of this world,he explained everything and gives you lots of knowlege and advice,one feels comfortable and welcomed . The quality of people staying in Ethrion the best .The room given to me had a view that takes your breath away ,two terraces and one terrace overlooking the sea,port ,houses and churchs even you can see Delos Island birth place of Apollo which George said its a must visit ,lots of space in the room and when George said wake up at 630am to see the sunrise he was right you forget about all the stress you have in this world. The hotel was comfortable,clean and the lady cleaning the rooms was so nice and friendly. I had a wonderful experience especially that I went in Easter so I celebrated my Easter and my Birthday together which was such a special event by which George and his wonderful cousin participated with me which made me feel lile family,Easter in Syros is remarkable and I advice very much for anyone to stay in this hotel and as for me I will come back. Thankyou George for everything and your assistance to make my stay a memorable ,unforgettable experience and felt like I have a family in Syros/Greece....

This summer, my family and I had chosen Syros island to spend our vacation in.. which is an exotic incredible little island where people are really kind and are always helpful.

After the research done, I had chosen Ethrion Hotel to spend our nine days stay . Honestly, the owner Georges is a nice man who helped us in some issues as well his son Dimitri and the lady Heleni who helps them. But some remarks must be given and taken into consideration: The studios we stayed in are not related to the Hotel since they have separate entrance doors and some photos given while booking aren't typical to the reality specially when it comes to the bathrooms that highly need renovation ( specially the old plumbing fixtures) and need to be insecticide because they are full of ants. During the first couple of days of our stay at the hotel, the house keeping wasn't bad but after that it became awful no change of towels no beds arrangements. However our stay wasn't that bad and was acceptable and calm...

We stayed there for 5 nights , the rooms are not as big as are shown to the photos. Very expensive for what they offer. I believe with 100€/night you can find more valuable hotels(maybe with breakfast included). I suggest you take cleanliness more seriously. The room provides a coffeemaker that was full of dirt,and the spoons too so you couldn’t use them. The fridge also was very dirty. I wonder why this happened since all the reviews of the accommodation are positive. The people there were friendly but in Greece it is very common until they are paid. The only reason I would suggest this hotel is the location but you have many choices...
