I loved my stay at Proteas! This a neat family-owned hotel with a perfect location in Kamari. Only 200m away from the beach, in a quiet street. Breakfast is included. The staff is really nice and helpful. My room was very cosy, and they cleaned it literally every day! There’s air conditioning and all you need. By the way, there is a toll-free parking lot located nearby (100m away), so it’s comfortable if you travel around the island by car. Thank you so much for this great experience!

Beautiful hotel in Kamari. I loved the Greek family vibe it inspires. Breakfast was my favorite. The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were very firm. It was very close to supermarkets and restaurants, and the beach was just a short walk away. I would definitely choose this place again.

Super consigliato!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Proteas at the end of September for a week. It is a very pretty Hotel from the outside and very well kept. We had a ground floor room and I was a bit worried about traffic noise when we arrived as our room was on the front and a road passes right past. However, there was no problem with road noise at all which was a relief.||The room was clean and maid service daily with fresh towels. The Air Con worked well which was a god send with it being over 29 degrees most days. There was a little terrace part outside which was nice to sit in the shade.||Breakfast was basic, cereal, meat and cheese, assorted breads/croisants/cakes, yogurt, juice water and coffee, if you want tea, you will need to ask for it, and the tea selection is limited. It was a light breakfast, but if you need something more substantial, there is an Irish Pub - just minutes down the road which do a hearty English breakfast (yes, proper English sausage and bacon), Omlettes, breakfast sandwiches etc which was quite reasonably priced - Oh and a proper cup of tea !!!!!||All in all a pleasant little hotel which we...

Our ferry to Crete was cancelled, so we needed to scramble for accommodations in Santorini. Luckily, we landed on Proteas hotel, a little gem in Kamari.||The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Kamari beach and the shops and restaurants around there. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and again is a simple buffet but tasty and fresh. ||The hotel is run by a lovely mother and daughter who are extremely accommodating and friendly. They helped us with booking a motorbike, printing our boarding pass, and finding transport to the airport. They were super helpful!||This hotel is a great value and a nice, low key place to stay in Kamari. It matches the vibe of Kamari itself, which doesn’t have the touristy-ness or crowds of Oia, but is very pleasant, authentic and relaxing. Plus the beach is good (though I’d recommend driving over to Perissa beach about 15 minutes...
