My oh My where to begin! My family of five travel often and this has to be hands down the best trip we have taken and I was lucky to stumble upon this gem. As I began to plan my last minute trip one month out, very few accommodations were available, especially for five. This challenge turned out to be in my favor thou because it opened up the door to the Galini Villas. From the first email I sent Christina I felt super comfortable with my choice. It is truly like having your own private getaway! You are away from all the crowds, but only steps away to the main city of Fira. Shops and endless eating options...many in the town of Firostefani as well. In fact, It is hard to tell where Firostefani stops and Fira begins. Althoughthe Caldera views are AMAZING anywhere on the Island, the view from your private porches (one below and one above with a jacuzzi) makes it feel like home. Christina was available at our disposal from the time I booked the villa through the last day, but I must say her warm and gentle smile upon our arrival made us feel very welcome. She is an excellent communicator and truly wants your stay to be enjoyable. The villa is as seen in the photos. Galini takes great pride in their property. It is clean, comfortable and well laid out. The only thing that may be uncomfortable is that there are no true doors to the rooms. Since we are a family this was not a big deal, but if you were couples it might be. ||||I must say another treat that made this stay super memorable was having complementary breakfast every morning out on the porch. You simply order what you want the night before and it magically appears with the best breakfast views on earth. If you are lucky you will have Dimitris as your private chef. He is a very special person and most enjoyable to visit with. He is down to earth and does anything to ensure your stay is everything you could want and more. He also cares for the villa as well and cleans daily, replaces towels & bottled water and cookies if your kind 😉 This made our stay EXTRAORDINARY (thank you Dimitris...we miss you and hope your well).||||I almost hesitate to let the secret out because I selfishly want the Villa all to myself, but at the same time I want to share it with the world!!! Truly amazing...Do not hesitate, book your stay today and you will not be disappointed. We will return and are most appreciative Christina for all your kindness and excellent recommendation for food (the Galini Cafe is a must. We ate here several times. Galini also has individual rooms at the hotel just a few steps away! Although we did not stay here, I could only imagine good things as this family loves what they do and they do it well!!!||||Until we meet...

Read moreWe stayed at Galini Hotel for three nights in the premier room with a private balcony, which included breakfast. The views from our room were breathtaking. We watched the sunsets in privacy, without having to be with hundreds of tourists. ||The hotel is perfectly situated in the quaint town of Firostefani, where you can find all the amenities you will see in Fira but without being overwhelmingly busy or noisy. It is just a 10-minute walk from Fira and we had no issues doing that every night. It's also a 3 min walk from the famous Three bells of Fira and on the path to Oia trail, which we did. You can also find a variety of places in town if you want to stay local for dinner.||The rooms were impeccably clean with a simple Aegean elegance. They are on the smaller size but that is expected for Europe. Three things set this place apart: Breathtaking views, outstanding warm service and incredible breakfast...I mean out-of-the-world breakfast. It was the best in our two-week vacation in Greece: yogurt with fresh fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, latte, omelets, buttery croissants, pancakes...Having breakfast in our private balcony, overlooking the caldera was the highlight of our trip. It was all prepared on-site by a lovely lady, who I believe was the mother of the hotel owner, but unfortunately, I didn't get her name. ||Mariami, at the reception was incredibly helpful. She arranged our transfer from the airport and to the port, gave us tips on places to go around the island and they were so accommodating to let us have the room for a later checkout. They even gave us a lovely keepsake when we left, which was a nice thoughtful touch. ||We travel quite extensively, and I am thorough in my research when I look for hotels but I was overwhelmed with Santorini given there are so many out there and prices can be quite ridiculous. This is a true gem and exceeded our expectations for the value. ||If you are looking for a quaint, personalized experience, with those breath-taking caldera views, this...
