The location and property are absolutely beautiful and perfect for a private getaway villa. However, this is as long as you have no reservations about being constantly surveyed and monitored by the staff managing the villa, on the multiple CCTV cameras placed around the property and also by having your privacy invaded by the management wandering around throughout the day and checking up on you. ||||We hired the villa for a destination wedding with 50 guests. We paid €6,500/- for the villa for 5 days including the wedding day. This included an extra €1000 for a "wedding package" which did not provide any additional services as such, other than to allow 50 people to be on the premises. ||||The first issue arose when we were informed the morning of the wedding, that the bridal party should be getting ready at their "own villas" (situated in multiple locations around the island). According to the villa management, there was no need for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready together...!? We made it very clear that it is tradition for the bridal party to be together during the morning of the wedding and after much objection and many discussions, it was reluctantly agreed by the property management that that this could go ahead. ||||Upon providing the villa as a wedding location, they failed to take into account the need for mirrors in the property. We had asked for a single full length mirror to be brought in for the morning so that the girls could do their makeup and prepare their outfits, but this was declined as a service which they were unfortunately "unable to provide". ||||It must be noted that the owner and manager of the property had no input towards the wedding logistics or execution but insisted on being present for the whole day to "oversee things". On the morning of the wedding, prior to our 50 guests arriving, we were informed that the property would be completely locked so that no one could go inside, and that the manager would be sat, for the duration of the event, on a chair placed in the middle of the reception area. This was rightfully not accepted by us, as there was no justification for their actions. We were told that they didn't want high heels to be worn inside the villa on the floors which we were more than happy to agree to - we were more than respectful of the villa and could understand their reasonings for that. However, they still insisted on all the doors being locked to stop anyone from entering the villa. We had a number of elderly family members at the wedding who were forced to use the outside toilets at the top of a large flight of cobbled stone stairs - which needless to say, was unnecessarily dangerous, when they could have used the bathroom inside the villa on ground level. ||||During the speeches, the bride's father had extended an invitation to the family members of the wedding party (who had travelled from multiple destinations around the world) to attend a relaxed afternoon with some snacks at Kamini Villa the following day. As people were leaving later in the evening, the management came up and informed us that they had been listening to the speeches and that guests would not be allowed on the villa terrace area the following day. ||||At this point, it was too late to re-inform people of the plans so we went ahead and had a very small gathering - around 20 people - for a very quiet, relaxed afternoon at Kamini. Once the guests had arrived, management informed the bride and groom that they would be required to pay an additional €500 per person - this was not even a conversation which we were prepared to entertain. The manager then proceeded downstairs to the office to draw up a "legal document" which he told us we needed to sign. Thankfully, he must have known he was in the wrong as we didn't see him again for the couple of hours we were there. ||||In conclusion, it seems that the property owner and manager are far too emotionally attached to the villa, which they are trying to run as a business. It is undoubtedly a beautiful place and location, but is tainted by the way in which it is run. It has to be said that the management interference really took the shine away from what was supposed to be the most beautiful, enjoyable day of our lives. Such a shame.||||Conclusion: beautiful villa to rent for a couple. Do not hold events here, even with...
Read moreWe stayed for 5 nights, just returned home Wow! What a place! The views were amazing and Rona really made our stay so much more amazing! The villas were absolutely stunning, the breakfast served on the terrace was delicious. Pure luxury. The villas were cleaned immaculately each day, the bed sheets were soooo luxuriously soft and the beds were really comfortable it really was a luxe stay. The children loved the hot tub although only one was brave enough to get in to the pool which was not heated. We had the largest villa for our group which comprised of three seperate accommodations. The main villa was where we tended to gather as that was all on one level. We travelled with our mum, my sister and brother in law and three children and there was plenty of room. Rona arranged taxis to take us to where we needed to go along with reservations for dinner. The breakfasts were huge and comprised of pastries, freshly squeezed juices, fruit, coffee and a main hot option. The scrambled eggs were a huge hit as was the bagel and spinach. Such a magical stay really couldn't fault it and we had an amazing time. The villas are on the top of a cliff and there are lots of steep steps so difficult for anyone with mobility issues and there are no guards across the ledge which may be a worry for...
