We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Melina Hotel in Santorini, located just a 5-minute walk from the center of Fira, and we owe so much of that to Melina, the owner, who was simply phenomenal from start to finish.

Everything in the hotel is spotless, high-quality, and well cared for.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and bright – and cleaned every single day. The pool is beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The breakfast buffet is generous, fresh, and always thoughtfully restocked. Every detail is designed for guest comfort: quality bedding, great air conditioning, spotless bathrooms, and peaceful, relaxing common areas. You truly feel at home. But what truly makes this hotel special is Melina. She is always available, incredibly helpful, and it’s clear she truly loves what she does.

She took care of us like family: She shared all the best places to visit, including hidden gems and local favorites. She made us personalized maps, helped us book boats, transfers, rental cars – always with great prices and reliable contacts. She took care of every detail for us, called places, made arrangements, and checked in with us every day to make sure everything was perfect.

She genuinely cares about her guests. We felt so welcomed and supported, and we developed a real connection with her. She’s the kindest, most generous person, and our trip wouldn’t have been the same without her. We’re honestly so happy we met her, and we can only recommend her and her hotel 1000%.

She called and arranged everything for us and checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well.||She genuinely cares about her guests. My partner and I have recently returned from a 14 day stay at the Melina hotel.|Firstly let me say this is our first trip to Santorini but we are experienced travellers who have visited an extensive amount of Greek islands and hotels, many of which were 4 star or above.|Without a doubt this has to be the most pleasurable stay we have ever encountered.|Where do I start? Well if you are thinking of visiting Santorini, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.|The hotel is run by brother and sister partnership, Melina and Yianis.....we found them to be the most friendly, informative and just lovely helpful people we have ever met on holiday....nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make you feel at home.|The hotel itself has 17 rooms...we had room 22, which is on the first floor and had balconies to front and rear and overlooking the pool on one side,, which was great catching the sun or shade, depending on the heat! The bathroom was more than adequate with a good shower and plenty of space to put 2 weeks of clothes.|The hotel is 5 mins walk from the busy road leading into Thira caldera...which is a fantastic place to be. It is the same distance to the bus station where you can get around the island, if you wish.|The breakfast was great too with plenty to choose from and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean, with great walkways and plats dotted around. The pool was amazing and I more or less had it to myself as most people choose to explore the island. There are more than enough sunbeds and chairs around the pool too to enjoy that lovely sunshine and shade if you require.|To summarize we never go anywhere twice but such is the wonderful experience of Melina and Yianis we would not hesitate to return.
