Tyrokafteri was amazing and I highly recommended it over fava, if you can handle slight spiciness. I would come back to this restaurant for this and only this, it’s AMAZING! When we first walked in, there was no one at the restaurant, and we should have taken that as our first red flag. The fava was tasteless and we needed to add salt to make it decent. This was the only thing that we liked. Keep in mind that for both, you need to buy 2€ pita, but then he gave us one ‘on the house’. It think that it should have been included in the first place for that price… grilled octopus and stuffed squid were extremely hard and chewy, probably because the most over cooked seafood that I have ever tasted in my life. The server was also a bit rude and he also told us that the pictures from Google Maps are outdated (I showed him someone’s picture from last week) and later he took pictures of our meals in front of us. So we paid 17€ for severely overcooked seafood, a few fries that we didn’t want, and a basic salad for eat meal. I would not...
Read moreOur dining experience at this restaurant was exceptional, thanks to both the quality of the food and the warm hospitality. Kristo, the chef, personally approached our table to walk us through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that made us feel like valued guests.
We chose the grilled sea bass and the chicken gyros, each accompanied by rice, pita, salad, and fries. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, flaky on the inside with a charred finish, elevated by a tangy sauce that added a bright and memorable flavor. The chicken gyros were equally outstanding – tender, well-seasoned, and served with all the traditional accompaniments for a hearty and satisfying meal.
The generous portions, freshness of ingredients, and balanced flavors reflected a high standard of cooking. Combined with the attentive service and inviting atmosphere, the meal left a lasting impression. This is a place I would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone seeking authentic,...
Read moreso glad we found this place walking back to our hotel, by chance we saw Theoni’s - specializes on Geek cuisine. both my wife and i love greek cuisine. sure enough, we went in. we ordered the grilled lamb to go. while waiting, somebody from the kitchen came out and said it is going to take a few minutes and gave us a big cold bottled water; to drink while waiting. we also ordered baklava and espresso. both were great ! the baklava was huge ! glad we ordered just one to share. couldnt finish it and had half of it to go. the hospitality in Fira Santorini is pretty consistently good and Theoni’s staff is our final confirmation to this. And that’s just the service part. The food (roasted lamb) was exquisite! it reminded us quickly why we love Greek Cuisine ! we’ll be back here tomorrow for lunch! if you’re like us and want authentic Greek food, look no further. we recommend...
