Ladokolla Traditional Cuisine — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

If u in Santorini and u don’t go there u missed out on great dining experience. The service was warm, attentive and the right eye for detail. We had 3 starters wich we shared fried zucchini, tomato fritters and a lovely Greek salad. Taste was fresh and vibrant and the portions size more than fair. For the main course we had grilled calamari with fresh tomatoes and capers and shrimp stew. Both tasteful and cooked perfectly. No personal comment's. That’s what u expect from Greek cuisine simple ingredients punchy flavour and a decent size. Now to the part that surprised me the most the bill. We had 3 starters 2 big mains a coffee a glass of wine two bottle of water and two small coke and the bill was 77 euro. This is in my humble opinion an amazing price specially when u consider the top notch quality. We will definitely return to this place every time...

First off, this is strictly not a food review, as we didn’t even get to ordering. The sheer audacity and disrespect we encountered in this restaurant was enough to put us off and storm out in under 5 minutes. The waiters were downright rude, brusquely pointed us to tables, almost pulled my son out of his buggy since he was ‘slow’ and when I asked them to give us a minute as we were all tired, we got a sermon on how we should’ve never left our country on holiday if we complained about being tired during vacation. Ridiculous! As if one needs sound advice from a pea brain on what to feel tired about. They even kept complaining that we weren’t moving out of the way (even before we sat down) and that the service in a distant corner would be interrupted. They clearly don’t like people of a certain colour and wear that proudly on...

Where do I even start..

I saw all the 5 star reviews from Google and thought this was going to be amazing, especially with this grilled calamari. So I thought this is a no brainer! We ordered it alongside some dishes (i.e algio olio pastas, salads and some pork shoulders).

So.. the Aglio Olio was one of most saltiest yet tasteless pasta I have ever tasted, pork shoulders were actually decent, and the best thing in this meal was the salad. You must be thinking, what about the calamari? Yeah that didn’t turn up. They even tried to make it a big fuss and say that it takes time to nurture it??! Meanwhile another table or theirs..

Yeah this was handled really badly and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone..
