Ostria Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

We stayed here for most of a week in June. The owner was very nice - offered us pieces of lemon cake on most of the mornings. Very quiet place - this could also be due to it being before school let out for summer in Greece. Our room had a full-size refrigerator and a panini press but no microwave oven which would have been nice for leftovers for the next day from local restaurants. The beds should be replaced as they were firm and somewhat uncomfortable. The room was large, but the bathroom was very small.||||If you want to run the AC in the room you will be charged 5 Euros per day. The owner said the electricity rates were quite high on the island as his reason for the surcharge. Wifi was ok in the room, but not as good outside in the lounging area. There is no pool, but you are right across the street from the beach and sea. ||||Lots of good places to eat within 100meters. There are some convenience stores on the main thoroughfare, and also in the back street areas of Perissa. If you are staying longer you can go to some small supermarkets on the island. The owner can arrange a van to get you down to the port or you can walk to the end of the beach near the hill to catch the island bus to the main town or other locations on Santorini.||||If you can tolerate the hard mattresses, check it out. Otherwise, you might want to look at some newer (and probably more expensive) places...

We had a wonderful stay in Perissa. Ostria Studios is almost on the beach (save for a small road between) and right in the heart of Perissa. There are bars and restaurants in both directions and it is possibly the best located apartments in the whole of Perissa!||||Nick and his son George could not have been more accomodating, allowing us to park our rental car in front of the property, providing ideas for trips out and also daily delights of cake!||||The room itself was nice enough and quite basic with a nice large balcony. The beds were comfortable. The shower was the main let down, which was often cold and very tight, with the shower curtain sticking to you.||||But we would happily stay again and put up with the minor shower issue to enjoy the fabulous location and wonderful...

Santorini is about the white houses on the top of the rocks, but has another side as well: black sand beaches and nice vibe at the sea - This is Perissa. Nou doubt, that in Perissa, this accomodaion is one of the best choice. Right on the beach, in the middle of the town, if you sit on your teracce, you feel like to be in a bar. The house is very nice, extreme clean, and tidy, the owner pays very close attention for everything. Rooms are great, with a lots of space, well equipped kitchen and nice balcony. Wifi and parking OK||Negative: sleeping quality is not the best. Many light comes into the room either in the evening and in the morning as well. And in the peak season, the street can...
