We stayed in Perissa last week and Ramaya was in front of where we were staying. From the minute we stepped foot into Ramaya the guys were so friendly and so welcoming, explained how their sun loungers worked and food/drink etc. We used their loungers nearly everyday, we ate lunch, had drinks & had dinner (one night), the food was delicious, we loved it!! Chips were so good!! My partner had the beef steak and loved it, cooked to perfection and a big bit of meat! I had the carbonara and loved it! One of the best meals we had in Perissa (we tried loads of different places in Perissa which is why we only had dinner once here but definitely when we go back the first place we will go is here!!) The views were beautiful, their loungers were in such a good spot! Our whole experience in Ramaya was fabulous the guys are great and couldn’t do enough for you! They are such a good laugh too, really made us feel welcomed and helped us settle in! Ramaya is always clean, there was also cat dishes of food left out for the cats which I loved since I love animals so much!! They actually have 11 cats here🐱 it’s lovely to see them well cared for! Was so sad to leave, we got engaged in Perissa too and when I told them it was like telling family, I got a big hug and congratulations and even before we left it was like leaving family! Sorry I have no photos of Ramaya but do have a photo of a wee cat that hung about here.
Thank you both for having us and...
Read moreWe had in mind a nice traditional greek evening, attracted by the solo performer of greek music - the guy was pretty good so the 5 EUR tip went straight to him as it was the only enjoyable thing in Ramaya. On short: poor service (spent 15 min until we got to order the food and only after we stopped the waiter to table) poorly cooked dishes (cheese saganaki was barely fried, served under 3 min (?!) we returned it and received 10 min later a proper one; garlic shrimps had no garlic, served in a pinky tasteless mess; lamb chops were too salty, cold and fat - a lot of garbage around (rice, fries) which made the plate big but kitchy - couldn't eat it. impolite waiters - aside of raising tone to my wife when pointing the bad saganaki dish, she left us waiting another 10 min after we asked for the check - we had to go to the bar and to insist to pay for leaving. My straight advice - pass by, it is a mix in between fast-food and self service, for the same price you can get a wonderful dinner at other places around (try Taverna Fratzeskos, you won't be dissapointed, I can assure you). Had to cure myself after this horror with some cocktails at Yazz (another good place I recommend) where the waiter (owner I guessed) seemed troubled and affected that my cappucino design was slightly damaged during serving -...
Read moreRa Maya, a traditional Greek restaurant, is an absolute gem, and Vasilis, the owner and chef, is nothing short of a culinary wizard. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt like I had been transported to the heart of Greece.
Vasilis's dual role as both owner and chef is truly remarkable. His passion for Greek cuisine shines through in every dish he creates. The flavors are authentic and soul-satisfying, a testament to his skill and dedication to his craft.
Sheriff, the staff member, was the epitome of hospitality. He made my dining experience seamless and enjoyable, providing valuable insights into the menu and ensuring that every need was met.
The ambiance of Ra Maya is a delightful blend of Greek tradition and modern comfort. It's evident that Vasilis has poured his heart and soul into every detail of the restaurant, creating an inviting and authentic atmosphere.
I can't sing the praises of Ra Maya, Vasilis, and Sheriff enough. This restaurant is a culinary treasure, and I can't wait to return to savor more of Vasilis's incredible creations. Five stars are well-deserved, and I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an exceptional Greek...
