I am giving only one star because we have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world. For three days we were their customers, using their sunbeds, ordering drinks and had 2 times dinner in their restaurant. On the third day after chilling on their sunbeds ( and drinking drinks ordered in their beach bar ), we wanted to go for a walk along the promenade and the doorman stopped me saying that we have to eat in “HIS restaurant” and if we don´t want to eat there now, we have to “pay more”(!!!) He didn´t even ask us wheather we are hungry . The only thing that he was interested in, was to get as much money from us, as possible. To our opinion, we were spending there similar amount of money as anybody else and there were plenty of free sunbeds around, as there weren´t many people on the beach yet at that time of the year. We packed up and paid. When we were leaving, the waiter introduced himself as the owner of the restaurant and he did not apologize for the disrespectful behavior of the doorman who was also trying to act as the owner. I would not recommend this restaurant and beach bar. There are much better options around with better customer service and more tasty food. It's a shame to have such disrespectful and fake stuff...
Read morePerched in the heart of Santorini, Aquas isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a warm embrace of Greek hospitality wrapped in the aromas of the Aegean. From the moment we sat down, the experience felt personal, authentic, and effortlessly charming.
We began with the dolmades—grape leaves so fresh, the owner proudly shared that his mother had just made them that morning. That small detail set the tone: this is a place where food isn’t just cooked, it’s cared for.
The grilled sardines were a revelation, perfectly charred skin giving way to tender, delicate flesh, drizzled with nothing more than olive oil, lemon, and the sea breeze itself.
My lamb kebab was equally memorable: succulent, smoky, and balanced with bright Mediterranean herbs, it spoke of both tradition and skill.
Service was nothing short of outstanding—genuine warmth, impeccable timing, and an eagerness to share the stories behind the dishes. Aquas is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why Greek cuisine is revered worldwide: honest ingredients, soulful preparation, and hospitality that lingers long after the plates are cleared.
Easily one of the finest Greek meals I’ve ever had. A must-visit for anyone seeking a true taste of...
Read moreFood was ok - freshly reheated from the counter by the toilets. But worst service we had in our two weeks in Greece, a country I love for its great people and attentive waiters. But Aqua will be the worst you experience for a variety of reasons. Drinks order came incorrectly, and then when the multiple mistakes were addressed, the waiter brimmed our wine glasses leading me to the embarrassing situation of needing to pour some back to the carafe so we could enjoy. Bread was 6 euros for four portions, but didn’t come until I reminded them and only then immediately before the main. And with no plates. And with no oil. I queried this charge when the bill came and he argued with me extensively about the fact - apparently he hadn’t forgotten and tried to slither out of the problem by claiming he had assumed we wanted bread as a main because we hadn’t asked for it as a starter. No doubt you will see their attitude in the response my review, but if I have saved you a ruined evening then my skin is...
