We went to Hotel Vista San Francisco because our Airbnb did not meet our standards- not a drop of warm/hot water. It is in an excellent location. But the staff at the hotel were the stars and made our visit to Antigua extra special. They went out of their way to accommodate us with any request no matter how minor.||The price was so reasonable we had separate rooms for four nights. Security is not an issue. You ring the doorbell and Estefany or Mariano check first on who is ringing and unlock the door to allow entry. So safety is not an issue. ||The beds were satisfactory- no, you aren’t going to find Tempur-Pedic mattresses- but they were most comfortable. The rooms were very, very clean. They have hot showers - just barely turn on the faucet. ||We ate only two breakfasts at the hotel because Antigua has so many great breakfast restaurants. The ladies provide you with a hot, made to order “breakfast of the day” with the freshest fruits in-season whenever you choose to come down to breakfast.|||If you stay on the 2nd floor you have a view of Acatenango and Fuego. They also have a small, lovely garden for you to sit in after a long day of touring or shopping.||My friend and I fell in love with the staff - Estefany, Magda, Mariano, and one other young lady (sorry we did not get her name). Because of their hospitality, kindness, and pure joy of doing their job, I would happily stay at this hotel again and again. Estefany and Magda always had a smile and laughed (along with us) at our attempts of Spanish. Mariano, the night person (hope this was his name) provided me ice after falling on the cobblestone street one night. When I left, it made me feel like I was leaving part of my family behind. Magda followed me out the day we were leaving, gave me a hug good-bye and waved as the Uber pulled away. Again, felt like I was leaving family behind.||Stay at this hotel and be kind to the staff. They are professionals and yet are so personable in every...
