Cafe Sky Bar — Restaurant in Sacatepéquez

They will charge more than what the price on the menu says. Expect to pay 30-50 percent more due to "old menus". We ordered long island iced tea and a beer. The bartender was even trying to hide the bill when paying.

I have lived in Guatemala for years and haven't encountered this anywhere else.

They also did not give us the receipt ( only the POS receipt) which is illegal according to SAT in Guatemala (they clearly did not want us to see the prices and we may report them for this.)

There are plenty of honest bars in Antigua, walk a block and you'll find a better one.

I don't usually write bad reviews, but I can't stand places that have the audacity to take advantage of tourists. Antigua is a great place, don't let this bar bring down...

The rooftop are offered great views over Antigua and the volcanos. Unfortunately, it was only the view that was great. The food we had wasn't very good. The nachos that other reviewers raved about came out cold, with very little chicken and zero cheese. The chips tasted like Doritos, not typical plain tortilla chips. Not my thing, but others may like it. The ceviche had an odd flavor, I think they used mint instead of cilantro. It was branded as the "Antigua" type, so I can't complain too much. While the view was indeed quite nice, the staff was unhelpful and rude. Specifically, the bar tender behind the rooftop bar was extremely hostile and rude. Management of Cafe Sky should work to improve their customer service as you will note that this is not the only review that shares a negative experience from customers. I have found the service in Guatemala to be pretty spectacular across the board, so it was really unfortunate to have experienced such terrible service from the bar tender (heavy set gentleman with a beard) at the bar at Cafe Sky.
