Very good ambiance. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere overall.
Went there randomly, not my choice for a friend's birthday. I was surprised by how nice the space was, but disappointed when the food arrived. As a general rule, when I eat out, I expect the food to be better than my own cooking. Chef 20 years of experience.
Food felt cheap personally. I spent 260q for a steak dinner and 2 drinks. Let me explain!
First. Please learn to portion filet mignon correctly. Our table ordered 5 or 6 portions of lomito (filet), and I got the tip end, not cool. I buy whole filets every week. You should separate and cut the ends to reserve for another dish, like tartar, and serve only the center cuts. I shouldn't pay more for less quality. Second, don't serve me basic frozen pommes frites, French fries. I expect twice cooked, pre soaked, dried, fresh cut fries at this price. I learned that it's Belgian owned idk, so there is really no excuse for bad fries. Third, Guatemala has beautiful vegetables year round, so there is no reason to serve me a forgettable boring salad. Fourth, I paid extra to have your mushroom sauce with my steak, not worth it. Basic low quality button mushrooms and a thin watery sauce. No flavor. I have a mushroom vendor that's amazing if you need it. Roast your mushroom, use better quality, and slightly bind thicken it with either a rue or cold butter properly. My friends paid extra for the gratin. Personally, it looked too blonde and undercooked, premade, and no one finished it. One friend asked to take it home and left it on the table forgotten -- for a reason. Overall, so so and forgettable. There is no attention to detail in regards to the food. The location, ambiance, and service 100%. Lovely. Food is generally disappointing. I'm glad I didn't get an appetizer.
I don't like leaving a bad review. But I seriously got dressed, took an Uber both ways, in the rain, to have an ok meal. I could've cooked this same dish 💯 better at home and watched TV in my pj's. The steak, however, was perfectly cooked for all our party, just improperly cut and portioned. Probably won't be returning. Love the vibe atmosphere, maybe for a drink but not to eat ever again. Sad. If this was my operation, I would focus more on the food. I'd love to show you what the dish I ordered should've tasted like when made well with attention to detail. 😏 I seriously have a meat (5lbs whole filet), mushroom, and vegetable delivery next week, and the quality I get is far superior to yours. It feels like there's a lack of...

They serve unique Belgian beers you will not find anywhere else, and the food is on another level. Creative, beautifully presented, and made with top quality ingredients. Every dish feels like it has been crafted with care and confidence.
Also the wine selection is incredible, a lot to choose from. Ask the owner for the best wine with your dish, she will know what to recommend!!
What also really impressed us was the service. Our waiter remembered exactly what we liked and even adjusted the recommendations when we returned. That kind of personal touch is rare and makes you feel genuinely valued.
The art on the walls is also something worth visiting this place for, and the atmosphere is simply one of the best you will find. Warm, stylish, and full of character. The owner is incredibly nice and feels like a friend.
We cannot recommend this place enough, it is easily one of our favourite spots anywhere. Definitely visit this place...
Read moreHigh end service, great ambiance, and expensive, below average food. I came here after 3 weeks in Antigua seeking some open, warm embrace of familiar westernized food. I should have known better. The only people that where eating for the duration of my meal where the type of english speakers that need a medal every time they remember how to say thank you in spanish. Anyway, I ordered the beef with rattatuie. Pre meal, I was provided with beautifully presented cold bread and crostini with some spiceless green sop. The rattatuie was metallic and cold, the beef stringy and flavorless, covered in thin, limp mushrooms. It also came with fries that had that certain cardboard pulled from the deep frier sabor. The front of house staff is efficient, knowlegeable, and freindly. There is candles for ambiance, as well as a beautiful little garden area. Perhaps today just wasn't the right day. Either way, I left feeling like I had robbed myself, knowingly stepping into a...
