Our guidebook listed this as the best deal in town, and at 20Q/person, we weren't expecting much. It was the low season, and the owner seemed quite surprised to see us, and showed us a couple of rooms, suggesting we could at least stay until the next day when we would have more options (it was pouring rain). And again, for less than $3/person/day, I took to fondly referring to it as "indoor camping". We stayed for an additional night (to get the awesome deal, plus we were doing the Indian Nose hike the next morning, so we just needed a place to rest our heads a couple of hours before the sunrise hike) but left the third day to find a place with a nice shower and some...

The owners keep the grounds spotless. It is priced about the same as a hostel but you get your own room. I stay here every time I come to Guatemala (about 8 times now) because I like the socialisation and of course the price. I am a bit of a germaphobe but I haven't a problem here. I definitely recommend it. I will be back...
