Hobar Hostel — Hotel in Budapest

On a trip through Europe, we stayed in 14 different hostels with approximately the same budget, this being the worst experience by far.||||The hostel does have a nice location, which was the only good aspect of our stay. ||The rooms were very dirty, the beds stained. The showers were gross and weren't cleaned while we stayed, the entire bathroom was smelly and covered in hair. ||||But what made this hostel so horrible for us was the staff: We asked to wash our clothes and were told to simply pay and hand our clothes over. ||We did so and added our wet towels, ||hoping they would be washed that afternoon and dry the next.||||We enquired several times about our washing but didn't get it back until 2 days later, but in fact unwashed! The employee had just stuffed it in a trash bag and let it sit for two days, everything inside being wet and gross because of the towels.||No laundromat voucher to make up for the damage nor at least an apology||.||After that disaster we wanted to leave and pay our stay, but the hostel (and bar!) claimed to not have ANY change and made us run around and exchange it somewhere else to hand them the perfect amount.||||My...

I liked the flexibility and the helpfulness of the personnel (an elderly guy). The location was excellent. Obviously the price was very reasonable.|What I didn't like, firstly the smell. The entire facility was smelling of cigarettes. The bed was smelling of the previous guests. It was disgusting.|The room was not clean either. There were suspicious marks everywhere in the room, in the bathroom, on the wall, etc. I have found a lot of different hair in my bed, which was not mine. So I am not entirely sure that the bed sheets were changed.|The tap at the shower cabin was malfunctioning. I had to keep pushing it during talking a shower, otherwise it immediately stopped.|The walls are really thin. However, I didn't want to, but I learnt the domestic life of the fellow guest next door, and in the middle of the night I woke up, because a lady was enjoying the love very loudly. It was accompanied by the snoring of the guy next door. (I have to tell you here, it is very hard to wake me up.)|However, the price was reasonable, I would suggest this place only the ones, who have a high level...
