ʚ♡⃛ɞ(ू•ᴗ•ू❁) 5 stars – Comfort food with soul, served with a smile ʚ♡⃛ɞ(ू•ᴗ•ू❁)

We planned to visit this Ukrainian restaurant from the moment we booked our trip, based on a great previous experience—and it absolutely lived up to the memory.

On our first visit, we ordered blinchiki with meat and mashed potatoes, along with a portion of pork. Let me just say: the pork was on a whole different level. Tender, juicy, and so soft it practically floated off the bone. Every bite melted in our mouths like it was made to soothe the soul. The side dishes and salads were beautifully balanced—not overly salted, not over-spiced—just simple, honest, delicious food done right.

We returned today, and guess what? It was just as magical. We repeated most of our order (because when you find food this good, why not?), but added wings and duck to the table. Both were cooked perfectly—the duck rich and flavorful, the wings juicy and crisp, like they were made to win hearts.

What really tied it all together, though, was the atmosphere. The space is cozy and welcoming, and Nina, our server, was the kind of person every restaurant wishes they had. She made sure we had everything we needed, brought so much warmth to the table, and left us smiling from more than just the food.

If you’re looking for a place that feels less like a restaurant and more like a warm, comforting experience wrapped in flavor—this is it. Ukrainian hospitality, soulful food, and a whole...

Hearty Ukrainian food in the city center – come hungry!

📍 Location: Very convenient — the café is located right in the city center, easy to find and get to.

👩‍🍳 Staff & Service: As always in Ukrainian places — the staff was friendly, kind, and welcoming. No complaints here at all.

🍽 Food: Be prepared: portions are huge, which I consider a big plus! I couldn’t finish everything and ended up taking some home.

I ordered mashed potatoes with a cutlet, pickled vegetables, Olivier salad, and homemade compote. The pickles and salad came out very quickly — within five minutes, which was great. The main dish (cutlet and mashed potatoes) took a bit longer, but overall everything was nicely timed and well served.

🍴 Quality & Taste: Everything was tasty and comforting — like a proper homemade meal. If you’re looking for trendy plating or gourmet vibes — this isn’t the place. But if you just want good food, cooked with care and generosity, you’ll love it.

🏠 Interior: Simple and homey — nothing fancy, no “luxury aesthetic” here. But personally, I come to places like this for the food, and in that sense, they absolutely delivered. It’s clean, casual, and feels a bit like visiting a local kitchen.

✨ Final thoughts: If you’re after a stylish ambiance or a “foodie” Instagram spot, this may not be for you. But if you want to eat quick, fresh, tasty Ukrainian food in big portions, this is a 10/10. I’ll...

An oasis in Budapest - you'll find this amazing restaurant on Raday street, a street filled with many different restaurants, styles, kitchens. It really stands out because of many reasons; I'll list just a few of them: the place is nicely decorated, in an Ukrainian traditional style; the service is fast and reliable; the menu is well-designed and the food is finger licking good.

I've never had Ukrainian food because sadly I haven't reached that part of the world, yet. But if you're like me (and want to try something new and exciting everyday) or just an Ukrainian passing by in Budapest, then don't miss it! Everything was great: the food, the service (even though it was crowded!), the atmosphere. The place is spotless and the prices are good. We went there for my birthday but we'll sure come back again soon!

LE: The food is still amazing, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great! We were here multiple times after the initial review and were never disappointed! Also, as a person with multiple food allergies (including gluten sensitivity) I can confirm they have a lot of healthy options suited for every type of diet.

Overall Ukrán Udvar Étterem is definitely one of our recommended places to visit when...
