I love the location of the hostel and the friendliness of Evi, she gave a very clear direction from the train station to the hostel. I thank her a lot for that.

Secondly, she gave a very clear information to popular and inexpensive dining places, bars and cafes to hangout. Thanks to her once again, I managed to enjoy a good Hungarian hospitality with good food and drinks in very nice atmosphere.

The downside is that I wasn't informed that the lights in the bathroom is not working and it was replaced with a red shade stand lamp. Can you imagine going into a very very dim red light bathroom to shower in the middle of the night? I have already compliant to the staff 2x but no efforts taken to change the lamp.

The room was also not brightly lit and worst of all, the staircase leading up to the room and reception area either dark with no lights at all or too dim with dark green colour. So you can imagine coming back in the middle of the night alone and walk up the dark stairs of an old building.

Overall, I like the friendly people at the hostel but just the lightings...

Letโ€™s start from the beginning - the location right across the national museum is amazing. The building itself is majestic, the style of the hostel is incredible and I loved that it was consistent everywhere from the hallways to your bathroom. The reception is absolutely breathtaking, original, gorgeous! The staff was so nice to us even thought arrived almost at midnight and then we asked for extra pillows which was no problem at all. Our room / apartment was so nice and cozy, we loved every inch of it! It was our first visit in Budapest and we couldnโ€™t pick a better accommodation for that, we absolutely loved it and weโ€™re looking forward to coming again! The only two things were

  1. no elevator but stairs are doable and for the building worth it!
  2. the apartment was too hot and we were not able to regulate the heating (maybe it would help to ask the staff about it but we were too lazy I guessโ€ฆ). Overall highly...

Such a lovely place to stay! The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed, which made us feel very welcome. Our room, including the bathroom, was spotless and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. There's no elevator so you have to walk all the way up to the upper floors. On each floor there are little notes on the walls showing how many steps youโ€™ve taken, which I found really cute. Of course, climbing up can be a bit tiring, but honestly the building is so beautiful, with a stunning courtyard, that itโ€™s totally worth it. I absolutely loved it! The location is also excellent. Just a short walk to metro stations, making it very easy to get around the city. Plus, the neighborhood itself is full of nice spots, whether you want to grab a meal, enjoy a coffee, or sit down for a drink at a bar. Overall, it was a wonderful stay from...

The only two things were 1) no elevator but stairs are doable and for the building worth it! 2) the apartment was too hot and we were not able to regulate the heating (maybe it would help to ask the staff about it but we were too lazy I guessโ€ฆ). Overall highly recommended!

Overall, it was a wonderful stay from start to finish.
