DO NOT EAT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNDERCOOKED FOOD BEING SERVED.
Unfortunately by far the worst customer service I’ve experienced in any restaurant I’ve ever eaten in. One of the dishes we ordered, the fried chicken dumplings were served to us cold with undercooked practically raw in some parts chicken. After one bite it was clear by the temperature, taste and appearance that the meat inside was undercooked. These things can happen so we returned the dish to the till, explained the issue and requested a properly cooked portion.
A couple of minutes later a waitress returned to our table with the same portion including the dumplings we had half eaten, heated up for a few more minutes probably in a microwave. Absolutely disgusting.
When I returned to the till again a lady appeared from the kitchen and began verbally abusing me at the till in front of other customers, accusing me of lying about the food being undercooked. To make matters worse she honestly believed the food was safe to serve to customers 😳🤮🤮 The man at the till and woman from the kitchen even began complaining to ME about the food being cut into. We had to cut into see if everything was undercooked which it was.
I was eventually given a refund for the food and rightly so. Disgusting food and even worse...
Read moreA good atmosphere, however be aware of the service style is standard of Hungary. You are expected to take the dishes down and also order at the counter, their english is also great where we are.
Food prices are reasonable, drinks are as expected for imported products around 900 huf. There is an abundance of chilli sauces free to pick from, sriracha to lao ga ma and some home made chill oil.
Some may conplain because the ramen is not like japanese. 拉面 is something that has more than just japanese origin. Here they serve more to what chinese would do for ramen, because you know this is a chinese restaurant? A more tamed and less impactful flavour profile, it isnt to say it is amazing but the use of egg noodles is a huge +, if you ever seen what else is around here in this city.
The stir fries are what is considerably good and is what feels good for when looking for 炒x(stir x). Another good one is the scallion noodles, basically it's 杂酱面zhajiangmian or the closest you will get around here. It is what it is. It's not very spicy because ofc its laogama was never about the spiciness, alternative can try the variety of sauces including yellow/red curry flavours.
Some people have expectations of heavy handed flavours but its nice to have a closer taste of home where its a...
Read moreI am Chinese, and this place is the best Chinese flavour ramen/noodles/fried rice(and so on) place you can find in Budapest.
They are cheaper than other places, but the quality and portion of the food is way better. Staffs speak all languages, you can have request if you have special diet or wished it to be in a certain way(very spicy etc.), staff and the owner are always polite and patient (they do have a huge menu for you to spend some time on).
I have visited this restaurant for over 3 and half years now and had tried lots of their dishes, they all in pretty good quality and won't disappoint you if you are an Asian food lover. But I don't advice buy any drinks there as they are pretty expensive.
If you are a student with valid student ID, DO SHOW IT. They have a student discount! You need to mention it before you pay.
They accept cash, card and credit card.
You need to bring the leftover foodtray to where they belong after you finish your meal.
It is definitely not an expensive place but it has great flavour and is somewhere you can bring friends and family to try...
