Two stars only for the parking place. I've always told to myself... "pay a little bit more and stay in confort". I've arrived there at around 10:30 and knew from the beginning that my room will not be prepared before 16:00 o'clock but they allowed me to leave the car there without a problem. Nearby you can find bus and tram stations and you can use the public transport as you wish - plus points for Budapest! Beside the kindness of the staff, nothing satisfied me. And also the kindness may be debatable. I was still in the town a bit after 16 o'clock when the host called me asking if it would be a problem if they change my room from a queen size to a two separate beds. Since I was traveling alone, it was okay for me but the price remained the same. In the morning at my arrival I was told that I can take over the room starting 16:00. They handed over the key only a bit before 17:00 o'clock. The room was smelling from the mop they used to "clean" the floor... mop that was in use forever. Not a pleasant smell. The cleaning was not even visible since all over the floor I could see hair strands. In the bathroom the same situation. Hair all over the floor and A LOT of it behind the door. In the room the carpet had a darker color. Couldn't see how clean it was but I have definitely felt some crumbs while walking on it. Between the two beds there was a small table, also covered in crumbs. Looking down between the bed and the table... now I feel sorry that I have deleted the pictures I took. Seeing the situation I have not even tried to use the towels. Luckily I brought my own one. The room itself was not very warm. I felt a constant air blast coming from the entrance door. I've had a bottle of water on the floor. By the morning, it was cooler than if I had taken it out from the fridge. The blanket was short and thin. I even woke up in the middle of the night putting on a pair of socks. Also, not a pleasant view when on my pajamas I'm finding someone else's hair...
Read moreI so want to give this hotel a good review because the staff tried hard to be accommodating and were very friendly. However, a few things need to be said in the hopes that some improvements can be made. The room was ok, despite being very old and slightly run down, but the bathroom was the real issue. The sink was clogged and the shower flooded the whole bathroom every time we used it. ||||We didn't feel like the room was very clean - aside from the bathroom, the sheet was too small for the bed so the old mattress was sticking out, the doors to the cabinets were falling off and the receptionist, who was also in charge of food, was the one cleaning the rooms. ||||Breakfast was extremely simple and could have been a bit more ample. ||||Some positives were the helpful staff, the parking spot, and the 24 hour reception. The location was convenient, we could drive into the city in under 5 minutes and public transport right to Elisabeth Bridge was a...
Read more'Congratulations on your brainpower, instead of checking in at 4 PM, you showed up at 8 AM while the previous guest was still sleeping in the room, and then you demand such nonsense as a waiting room that didn't exist and doesn't exist, you got answers to everything, that doesn't qualify us as you can't understand this and that you can't read or interpret the things we said.' -
I arrived with my 6-year-old child and my elderly mother. I asked if we could use the toilet since we weren’t allowed to check in early. I was told there was no toilet available and that leaving our luggage would cost €5. When I said it was unacceptable that they wouldn’t even let me take my child to the toilet, we were kindly told to leave. Above, you can see how this person communicates through Booking and their overall attitude toward guests. Thankfully, I ended up taking my family to stay at a proper hotel in the center of Budapest instead of dealing with...
