Hrafnabjörg Guesthouse — Hotel in Vestmannaeyjabær

We came to Vestmannaeyjar in the afternoon just to learn from the very helpful guesthouse owner (don't remember her name) that the ferry was cancelled the following two days due to an upcoming strike. The facilities were nice and clean and looked perfect for our family of four and the location was fine whether you were on foot or by car like us.||||The owner offered us a good rate for staying 3 nights rather than 1 due to the strike, but it wasn't compatible with our flights. Instead she spend time contacting the ferry and getting us in a queue to go back to the mainland and offered us a full refund for the non-refundable booking we made the day before (where we also bought the tickets for the return ferry that the ferry company already knew would be cancelled due to the planned strike -- but that's a whole...

We spent 4 nights ( 5 days) at this wonderful guesthouse. It is a straight route from the harbor/ferry and very close to the harbor, supermarket, restaurants etc. Our hostess was simply amazing. Born and raised on the island and very informative and helpfull. She made a map with all the hotspots on the island and we could count on her for every question and piece of information. Her English was also very good. There were many public areas and 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens. All very clean and well-kept. We arrived a lot later than mentioned on the booking but this was no problem. There was a lovely garden and many resources, wifi, games, refrigerators, coffee/tea, a washing machine and lovely picture books. The beds and blankets/linnen were very comfortable. We slept like babies. Would absolutely go...

When we arrived from the ferry, it took us 5 minutes to find the house on google maps.||||We where greeted by the owners Hrefna and Jonas at arrival.||||Because we where a group of 10 we got the whole house for our self and it was also because we where in luck because of covid-19 and there weren´t that many tourists.||||The rooms where nice and clean, big enough for us and others.||||The house it self is big,clean and the kitchen had all the equipment that we needed.||Toilets and shower where nice also.||||There is wifi.||||The biggest plus of it all, was the location......everything you need is in 600 meter radius||||Would i recommend travelers this guesthouse? Yes i could not...
