Rivera Sarovar Portico, Ahmedabad — Hotel in Gujarat

The hotel is located on Relief Road, Ahmedabad, which happens to be in old city and close to the railways station. I chose this location because it was closer to the old city which I wanted to explore. This hotel is close to Manek Chok, Jami Masjid and other attraction but is located on the main road called Relief Road. The reception staff was very friendly and gave the room immediately on arrival. The rooms and bathroom were neat and clean and are of good size. The bed was comfortable. AC, TV were working well. We did not try any food here so cannot comment but the morning tea was good. After check out they stored our luggage. We sat in the reception for about an hour before we departed for the station for our late night train, and the staff really treated us well there. The hotel is located about 1km from the main Ahmedabad station. When we checked-in the hotel room seemed nice, but then we saw the bath room and toilet which was joined, it was STINKING, we had the hotel staff clean it, but instead they jus sprayed a strong air freshener which masked the smell for sometime.||||As it was raining, next day we had leakage of water towards the window side of the room, it was all wet, the floor was slippery and we had though time cleaning it.||||There was free Wifi which was told to us, but the same wasn't provided as even after asking them many times password wasn't provided.||||Food was good. breakfast was complimentary which was supposed to be only had from outside the room.||||Overall it was a OK experience. These people can improve a lot in terms of service and living up to the name...

One thing I liked the most about this place was it DOES NOT ENTERTAIN hanky panky crowd & stupid auto guys who make u pay more at hotels for their commission.||Hotel one up turned out to be a true star for my 1 day work trip. Staff & service was good, food at their restaurant was very nice specially pineapple raita, was fantastic a must try with their biryani.||Room was nice & clean for the cost, location is excellent just 7 mins from station. Their restaurant delivers food on train (at Ahmedabad station) that was very impressive. I'm definitely coming back here when...
