Simran The Restaurant — Restaurant in Gujarat

I visited this place last week with my cousins. And honestly it’s not my first time here but it’s been years since I last visited this place I forgot the taste of it. But again I had chance and it turned out delicious we didn’t order much as it was dinner. We order two varieties in great quantity which are chicken and mutton with roti. Taste was so good. Seating arrangements are also good but it can be better for large groups like ours. Hygiene is well maintained. Ambience was nice. There’s also a TV for little entertainment. We enjoyed very much. About price I didn’t have any idea as I didn’t look at the menu. But from our bill total my assumption is that it’s not that much costly. About parking there’s a little issue because in front of restaurant you can only park two wheelers as restaurant is on main road and I have no idea how they manage to park four wheelers but at the night we managed to park ours cars in front of other shops as they were closed. We ordered 1 main course chicken item and 2 starters, one chicken n one mutton. It was a take away. The packing was so bad that all was spilled in the car. The box / packet was leaking. It was a complete mess. On top of that when we started our dinner, we found all the items to be very very spicy. We asked also before placing the order that we want the main course to be minimum spicy. Still it was burning. The taste was also not that good. It was Soso. The mutton starter was very chewy and not atall juicy, it was even a little burnt on one side. The chicken started was too salty that we couldn't have it all alone. What a disaster it was. Simran restaurant is located in the shahpur area of Ahmedabad, which is called the older Ahmedabad. It serves veg and non veg dishes, but mostly people visit this restaurant for non veg dishes. Quite a few varieties to taste for..Taste and quality of food is good..Service is good in general, but sometimes can be very lousy depending upon the staff. Price is in the mid to expensive range depending upon dishes. Should try biryani, tikkas (especially pahadi and shikari tikka if u enjoy spicy food)..Worth visiting if you want a calm and peaceful place to enjoy non veg food with ur friends and family.
