Neat rooms | Great locality | Pathetic Check-in Experience: The first-day experience was quite pathetic for me due to one of the reception staff being quite rude. 'Make My Trip' says the hotel accepts any government ID proof. The reality is quite different there. They don't accept voter ID as ID proof; they don't accept masked Aadhaar as ID proof; they only want your full Aadhaar number!! I do not understand why they want the entire Aadhaar number when the government has brought rules that mask Aadhaar works, as a lot of fraud happens when an Aadhaar number is given (I am not sure if I am wrong here). They charged INR 500 extra for early check-in even though we told them that we would check out at 7 a.m. (24 hours). Also, there is no option to customize the check-in and check-out times if booking through any other website. Hence, where would the people go if they came early? Room: The toilet in our room wasn't clean at all. The room was good, neat, and clean. Hotel staff: The service staff was good. Even the check-out was very smooth. There was a different reception staff during checkout, and I wish they were present during my check-in. Locality: It is near the KSRTC bus stand, near Adarsh hospital. Udupi Shri Krishna Temple is close by. Location-wise, it is good. Conclusion: I would have rated this hotel 5 stars if my check-in experience had been smooth. Check-in was a big turn-off due to lots of last-minute surprises (I would rather term it a shock) by the reception staff that day. During my visit to Manipal, I stayed in this hotel which was recommended by a transport guy. Nice budget hotel, centrally located in Udupi, though about 10 minutes ride from the Udupi railway station. The local market place is at a walkable distance which helped me to shop on foot. Hotel premises are maintained neat and clean. Rooms are spacious. Has a nice balcony view of the surrounding market from the second floor onwards. Reception guy was quite friendly, offering information about the local geography, shopping as well as transport options. its a budget hotel located centrally with no frills.||1) distance from private and ksrtc bus stand is few meters. but around 3kms from railway station.||2) Krishna mandir is around 1 km away . market is nearby so shopping and food is easy to find.||3) entrance and surrounding is in congested market so no great view but that doesn't affect your stay either.||4) rooms are basic ,clean, tidy and equipped with required furniture. bathrooms are clean. hot water was available.
