Hotel The President — Hotel in Karnataka

Since this hotel's brand name is quite well-known but their execution is terrible, I'd like to share my observations. Room- Beds are good but small queen size 5 feet, which is small, and you will always need an extra bed if you are traveling with the family. Rooms are substandard. Although clean, the linens could be better. Lighting - The room's lighting is dim, the LEDs are malfunctioning, and it is of poor quality. The wallpaper also looks bad and smells bad, and the room walls are covered in water seepage marks. I could even make out extra dirt and spider webs close to the false roof. The bathroom's ceiling was leaking just over the toilet, so you needed an umbrella to sit. Hot water was also unavailable until several calls were made before it finally started to flow. When we called for the wifi password on Day 1, they sent it on Day 2 after multiple reminders. The same thing happened with in-room dining; we followed up 2-3 times for Tea/Milk and after 1.5 hours, he came saying he was busy. Room service was pathetic; they take their own sweet time to serve you based on their busy schedule. We had to cancel because they didn't even show up the following day after we ordered. Parking is on the back side of the hotel and was informed when we reached the hotel. The rooftop restaurant was better in terms of food and service. Since the windows couldn't block the noise from the road, we could easily hear traffic noise at night. The air conditioner was broken and making a lot of noise, making it difficult to sleep. A remote control was attached to the air conditioner, and it would either be set to 18 degrees or 26 degrees. After a few hours, the air conditioner would make a noise but the cooling would stop, leaving you feeling suffocated. useless; a fan would have been much more beneficial if kept in. Since the Reception and room service was so non-apologetic on any issue feels like they know all issues but rather keep a deaf ear on any issues and will politely say they it will be rectified but they don't do so and these people start blaming each other - from maintenance to service. If you pay less than 2K per night for this room would be best as i paid 5k per night I felt disappointed and cheated and had no value would like to give zero stars and never recommend...

Not value for money. price is tooooooo high INR 4981 / day. for a 3 star hotel. 2. No complementary breakfast for this pricing because of online booking through gobigo. I stayed in another hotel (Treebo Trend Akshaya Mahal Inn) just for the amount of INR 3450 / day and got superb complementary buffet breakfast there. 3. This hotel doesn't even has kettle and coffee sets in room. It's a shame for a 3 star hotel. which i got in Treebo Trend Akshaya Mahal Inn) just for the amount of INR 3450 / day. 4. There is no information card in the room about how to contact reception, restaurant & room service. actually they are not willing to service to their customers and that's why they have not kept it there. 5. There is no AC temperature adjustment & AC fan speed adjustment provision in the room. I asked this in the reception and they don't have any idea about it. which i had in Treebo Trend Akshaya Mahal Inn). 6. Actually in Treebo Trend Akshaya Mahal Inn, I got an compact fridge as well in my room to keep my snack & fruit items fresh. here in this hotel nothing is available. 7. I would rate this place a full 5.0 Or rather 4.75 , even though there were a few minor flaws. The rooms are large and spacious and have windows that have a view of open spaces. There is a large parking lot behind the hotel. This hotel can be accessed from two different roads and that makes it convenient. Two restaurant inside and especially the rooftop one serves good food at reasonable prices and also offers a decent view of the Mysore palace. The lobby is big, good in decor and the reception services were excellent. The interiors reflect a modern decor adorned with chandeliers and pleasant lighting. Now to mention the few flaws that I noticed. The upper floor windows don’t have a safety rail and there is a safety hazard of fall in case you are tipsy or have kids around. This is a safety issue! And the other one is that you get hot water only for a few hours each day. This is not something expected from a four star rated property. The bathroom are not refurbished and have leaky faucets.
