I recently visited this hotel with high expectations but left quite disappointed, particularly with the tomato soup and Kashmiri Pulao.
Tomato Soup: for 125+Rupees We started our meal with the tomato soup, which arrived without the customary rusks or croutons. A well-prepared tomato soup should include these accompaniments to add texture and complement the flavor.
Kashmiri Pulao: Following the soup, we ordered the Kashmiri Pulao, priced at 220+ rupees. Unfortunately, this dish was far from what it should have been. Traditional Kashmiri Pulao is known for its rich and aromatic blend of ingredients, including:
Pomegranate Seeds: Absent. Dry Fruits (Raisins, Almonds): Not a single piece was present. Saffron: There was no sign of this essential ingredient that imparts both color and fragrance to the pulao.
The dish was not only lacking in these key ingredients but also fell short on flavor and authenticity. The absence of these elements resulted in a bland and unimpressive dish that failed to justify its price.
The tomato soup and Kashmiri Pulao did not meet even the basic expectations for these dishes. Given the price, I expected a much higher quality of food and better adherence to...
Read moreI don’t like to write reviews generally. But I want to write this review specially. First of all 0 star option is not there, other wise I will prefer that.
In general, manager or employee should know about the menu properly. He served dhal with biryani rice and he argued that it is North Indian style. When we ask him he don’t know anything and arguing like he knows everything.
We requested for water to refill or keep a water jug on our table as we are four people, he didn’t replace the empty water jug with water. After calling him for 3 times, another female employee responded and replaced with hot water as we requested for normal water. After another request he replaced water as we waited almost 20 minutes for only water. Serving portions are less, anyway food taste was horrible and we don’t want to ask anything one more time apart from water. He doesn’t care about the table. Just simply walking from front to back.
Coming to food, the quality is worst compare to whole Mysore and less quantity for huge price.. I travelled internationally and never felt bad about service or quality like this restaurant..
Horrible and...
Read more🌧️ Walked into Veg Kourt the other day — as most Mysoreans know, it's one of the city's iconic veg spots — and was pleasantly surprised to find their limited-time Drizzle & Dine monsoon menu! Every dish felt like a warm hug on a rainy day. 🥣 The Trio Pakora & Tomato Shorba was cozy and nostalgic, the kind of thing you crave when it's drizzling outside. 🥟 Silken Paneer Pao had that perfect melt-in-the-mouth texture with a subtle kick. 🍄 The Chettinad Truffle Dumpling was bold, earthy, and surprisingly addictive. 🍜 Burmese Khow Suey was rich, balanced, and beautifully put together. 🍚 Wild Mushroom Risotto came with that lovely depth from truffle oil—easily one of my favorites. 🍫 Chocolate Textures was indulgent without being heavy, and 🥭 Mango Filo Delight was light, fruity, and the perfect end.
💯 Hats off to the chefs and the team behind this thoughtful curation — it’s not just a menu, it’s a seasonal experience. Loved seeing a place like Veg Kourt take this kind of creative leap. Hope they keep experimenting like this more...
