It was a pretty renowned joint regarding the old calcutta chinese or authentic chinese cuisine. I visited the place for the first time, so as per my first visit it was good but if I go by the tag it holds, it is not that much up to the mark. The joint is small and can accomodate upto 16-18 people at a time. Now coming to the food, we had:

Lapchi Kai Chicken (starter): It was recommended by them as one of their signature starter dish. It consists of 8 big chunks of chicken tossed in sauce with bell peppers, onion, garlic and lemon grass. The taste was fine, something sweet and it has a spicy after taste. (4.5/5)

Crystal Chimney Special Fried Rice (mixed): The rice was covered with an omlet like the egg wrapped rice. It consists good amount of chicken and prawn along with egg. The taste was fine and similar to the mixed fried rice but only the mushroom makes the difference. (4.5/5)

Mongolian Fried Rice (mixed): Actually while ordering the dish we asked the person who was taking our order that will it contain the slice of cucumber and onion and he said yes and it will have a tangy and sweet flavour, so we ordered it, but it doesn't contain anything and it didn't tasted like it was said. It was just like a mixed fried rice without mushroom. According to a mixed fried rice it was fine but as we order Mongolian Fried rice it was disappointing. (3/5)

Tsing Hoi Fish: This item was taken to have with the Mongolian fried rice and it was good. It was just a bit heavier on sweeter side, other than that it was really good. The fish was very good, buttery soft and fresh. (4/5)

Lee Fu Chicken: It was something unique. A mixed aroma of coriander, gondhoraj lebu and basil was there in the gravy. The gravy contains chopped gondhoraj leaves. It perfectly accompanied the Crystal Chimney Special Fried Rice. After a long I tasted something like this. It was seriously a game changer in the entire menu. (5/5)

The quantity and the quality wise it was bang on the target. The quantity of every item was enough...

A vintage style Chinese eatery in Central serving one of the widest range of Indo - Chinese cuisines. A ground floor kitchen and a small seating capacity on the second floor of barely 24 people. But as small as the seating capacity, the menu was an exact opposite. For the very first time, I was lost in a long and exhaustive menu that was packed with tens of items. Do research from vlogs and blogs to get a recommendation on the must try items. But here's what we tried from the Crystal Chimney.

Crushed Burnt Garlic & Pepper fish - A MUST. You'll find this item on every recommendation and it is worth every bite. Thinly fried fillets of fresh Kolkata bhetki tossed off in a Garlic and pepper sauce. Soft fried fish and the burnt garlic flavor is a symphony in your mouth. Rs. 290 for Half (4 pieces)

Deep fried Thai Chicken - Deep friend minced chicken balls mixed with herbs and spices. Mixed with lemon added a tangy after taste. Rs. 240 for 6 prices.

For the main course most of the recommendations are for Lee fu fried rice and Lap chi kai chicken. Since, the usual recommendations are popular and well reviewed, we decided to try something else for a change.

Tsing Hoi Chicken - A gravy style chicken preparation. Standard size chicken accompanied with bell pepper, onion in a sweet honey glazed gravy. Rs. 320 for 8 pieces.

Chilli Garlic Mixed Fried Rice - A spicy fried rice prepration with good portions of prawn and chicken. The garlic and pepper with possibly hint of Schezwan sauce gave it a super hot texture with a lingering spicy aftertaste. Rs. 350 for full portion (Serves 2)

The choice of main course was such so the spicy garlic fried rice compliments with the honey sweetness of the Tsing Hoi chicken. And the combination was a 10/10. The chicken brought down the heat and added the much needed sweetness to the rice enhancing...

Today dine in there, very very small space, AC was not working properly as we were sweating .. Price is very high as per place, atmosphere, ambience, quantity, food quality .. didn't like at all .. drinking water for 1 litre charged double Rs.40+GST which is totally rubbish .. definitely will not go there again .. moreover their service, norms, rates in everything totally different for online order (not swiggy/Zomato,directly contacted restaurant via phone) n dine in .. dine in rates are minimum rs.50 higher than online order (not swiggy/Zomato,directly contacted restaurant via phone) rates .. in dine-in norms they also charged for normal paper-box packing worth rs.10+GST , this is the charge for just normal paper-box not foil neither container.. very very bad experience.. moreover a group of loafer gang was there of girls n boys, who had no decency at all, making so much noise, as if 1st time came to a restaurant, totally unculture type .. in that small place they were constantly moving here n there .. they were total 7/8 members, everyone's phones charge was nill, so every one was charging their phone in restaurant one by one, totally non-sense .. this type of ambience was there .. just so irritating .. most worst experience till now in my life ..

Good Food, Good Taste, Good Quality .. Tried Schezwan Rice, Chimney special Rice, B.B.Q Noodles, Hongkong Noodles , Crispy Chilli Baby Corn .. Crispy Chilli Baby liked the most as per taste n Quantity both .. Noodles taste n Quantity also good .. Both Rice was good as per Taste but Quantity could be better .. (pls Note- this Review only for Online-Order but not ordered via swiggy or Zomato, directly contacted restaurant via phone) .. their service, norms, rates everything totally different for online order...
