Hospitality par excellence
Overview: It was a mere 16-hour stay, for us, at the JW Marriott Aerocity in early 2019. We checked in late, at about 5 in the evening and were out by 9 am the next morning. However, that short time was still good enough to savor their top-notch hospitality - Mr. Gaurav Sah being it's flag bearer
Property & Room: Akin to any JW Marriott, the hotel's structure is impressive, swanky and definitely more than upmarket. The location however can be a tad unimpressive, located an isolated island along with multiple other hotels; it's at least 1 km from the nearest other inhabited area and another 2 kms from the airport terminal - hence there are very limited things you can do outside of the airport, if you don't have a vehicle to your disposal. The rooms are spacious, very well appointed and modern. My room had a view of the parking area of air-force planes and of the runway strip, so if you like gazing at aircraft - the view is perfect :)
F&B The hotel has multiple dining options, incl. a very well stocked bar. That said, for us, this was high-point of your stay. Being in Delhi, we wanted to experience the local fare, however after giving our car, our mobility was quite limited and neither were we keen to venture out on chilly Delhi night. While speaking with Gaurav (Sah) about his recommendations for local Delhi-ka-khaana, he said most joints were a tad far, so we decided to settle for the hotel's restaurant. And, that's where the surprise came through - Gaurav arranged a platter of chaats to be be made (and quite a few-types at that), which came through to us while we were having our drinks. Just the sheer thought of catering to such an ask and finally providing it in a very eloquent manner. Further, the chaat was both, very delicious and generously plated. The drinks options too were very comprehensive and fairly well priced for a luxury hotel. Finally, the breakfast next morning was typical 5-star Indian spread - with options aplenty across all cuisines and with something & more for everyone's palate
Service & Amenities: Top-notch service by Gaurav & co. Unfortunately the length of our stay did not permit us to try any specific amenities at the hotel
Overall: Brilliant service, very good food and perfect luxury more than made up for the fast that this property is a tad far from the city, hence not the best placed, but again the convenience of being next to the airport comes at some cost. All-in-all, excellent hospitality, we'll definitely go...
Read more1- The stay at JW Marriott, Aerocity no more feels like a visit to a hotel but instead it feels like to be home back again. The staff of the hotel is well familiar and take due diligence and attentiveness with which I'm attended always.
2- The Airport Ambassador is the first point of contact or rather the first impression before embarking the experience of JW Marriott and Mr Bhupinder rightfully and pleasantly knows how to attend to a guest and coordinate with my personal conceirge team and in New Delhi/North India, never have I seen such professional, thought out procedure by JW Marriott Aerocity's Airport Ambassador Policies.
3- The overall incharge of my visit this time Mr Gaurav Sah and his impeccable sense of humour as an associate with which he embroils a guest in a conversation is something very unconventional and new that I as a guest experienced rather than the normal salutations which every other associate does. Very wonderfully thought out ways to engage a guest.
4- The undoubtedly fantastic and world class Executive Chef Mr Pande & his team left no stone untouched to curate not just dishes but instead, masterpieces and sheer gold to my culinary reviews. My personal Chefs menu which was shared by my Manager and the way the entire Food&Beverage team handled it and gave it the 'JW' touch was absolutely phenomenal. Mr Suranjit Sengupta recieves a credit from me for making me have the Delhi Famous "Chole Bhature" that I never had, and very rightly I fell in awe with the fish from K3. Marvellous experience always! In-Room Dining as well as K3. My gratitude to all chefs, head of F&B and all associates. Undoubtedly my favourite department.
5- The butler services of this time were quite apt and crisp. Mr Bharat Kaushik attended very carefully to me and coordinated well with my personal schedule and made sure that nothing goes wrong and very accurately noted down all itineraries and carried them well. I entrust the management to put out a consolation/appreciative note for the him. As it's understood that Marriott doesn't have an active Butler policy, I would personally like to fill up the gratitude spirit for your kind self to have allowed and honour the request for a butler.
6- Lastly and most remarkably, the thought out and curated conversations of JW Marriott's staff with the guests was quite a good difference as from last previous visits. Guests like me are very welcoming and supportive for the kind of engaging...
Read moreWe stayed at JW Marriott Delhi for a night to celebrate my son's birthday, and overall, it was a decent experience. I informed the hotel in advance about the special occasion. Once informed, the team did a great job making my son feel celebrated with lovely room decorations, his favorite cake, and a soft toy gift at check-in. He absolutely loved it.||We had booked an executive suite, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered a great view of the runway. My son had a blast watching planes take off right from our window — a perfect touch for a little aviation enthusiast.||Our reservation also included access to the Club Lounge, which turned out to be a highlight of our stay. It offered a great high tea spread in the early evening, followed by cocktail hours with an impressive variety of food and attentive service. It’s honestly one of the best club lounges we’ve experienced in recent stays. Himanshu and Sahil took great care of us there.||Later, we also spent some time at the JW Lounge in the lobby, which was calm and relaxing. Vaishnawi and Abhishek were warm, polite, and made excellent recommendations, ensuring we had a pleasant experience.||The next morning, however, breakfast was a major letdown. While the food selection was good, the overall experience felt chaotic and poorly managed. The restaurant was overcrowded, likely due to a wedding, and the service was practically non-existent. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things like cutlery and napkins, and no one came by to clear used plates — we ended up placing them on a nearby table just to make space. Not once did anyone check in on us, which was surprising and disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Despite the good food, the service at breakfast left a lasting negative impression — by far the worst we’ve had at a luxury hotel.||Throughout our stay, I also felt a lack of personal connection in staff interactions. Most team members were polite, but there wasn’t any sense of genuine engagement or recognition of Marriott Bonvoy loyalty, which we’ve seen handled far better at other Marriott properties in India.||All in all, the stay had a promising start, and there were definitely moments that stood out, especially for my son. But we left with mixed feelings, mainly due to the breakfast experience and the underwhelming treatment of...
