The Le Mirage hotel — Hotel in Puducherry

Great experience is just the right word that can describe your experience in Le mirage. Right from the reception to the bell boy all of them are really well behaved and we'll mannered. The rooms were clean and dirt free and the bed was really comfortable. The room size is little small but comfortable enough for a couple.All the basic amenities were provided and even they had a chargable mini bar which was nice to see. The restaurant TOT served was awesome food , the chef is a great person who came out personally and suggested us what dishes to order. A special mention to Mr. Mohan, the head waiter in TOT who always greeted everyone to a lovely smile and he was always so inspiring and jovial. I also hired a scooter from the management to travel around, they charged around Rs. 350 like, but the vehicle was nice and hassle free and they even planned a small tour itinerary for us and gave us the map of the town, which was a brilliant gewture. The only complain I have is they should provide a ceiling fan in each room because the position of the AC is not sufficient enough for cooling. The only pro of staying in this hotel is it's location which is close to Promenade and White Town. However, the list of cons is long -

1. Bad service - No kettle provided even after multiple requests and when asked for hot drinking water, they said we don't provide hot water
2. After check-in, the guy (Uncle) at reception said the room number and asked us to go ourselves. I never had this experience where they won't at least escort us till the room if not hold the luggage. And Yes, even 1 star hotel do at least this
3. The taps and other sanitary ware in the washroom was so old that it felt like it will break if we push/pull too hard To me, it seems the hotel must have been good when opened but now there's no upkeep of things rather owner is just interested in making money by providing minimal things/service in return. I can still let go of things being old or missing but 1 star is only because of the poor service and indifferent attitude (of that reception Uncle, didn't get his name). Hi all... Le mirage is the hotel where you stay like home.. The first pic was the entrance where they decorated as finest and the manager was the awesome guy who has the finest capability of handeling all.. And the other was the room service members where they keep this hotel as very clean and neat.. Then starts from room i have taken superior delux where it has locker and mini-fridge.. Where the mini-fridge contains redbull, badham milk, water bottle,choclates,biscuits etc... Then the bathroom where it is neat and clean nd fully fitted with jaguar fittings.. Nd it has 24 hrs of hot water supply.. And the bed was super cushioned and it was nice.. The air conditioning where it gets quick cooling..then the le mirage has special amenties which is TNT restaurant (taste on terrace)which is wonderful where its tastes awesome and i loved it..
