Eden Garden — Restaurant in Puducherry

This is one of the two oldest softie ice cream maker in pondicherry , They previously had 2 or 3 branches in the 2000's, currently this main branch in MG road is only functional, They usually serve ice cream outside the store and also inside The outside counter has both cone and cup size served in limited quantity and is also affordable like 20 or 30rs. But inside the store the regular sized ones starting from around 65 rs. They have pizzas , ice cream, snacks. Way back as a school kid I used to have their cheese pizza which are very tasty , Currently I have their chocolate milkshake with ice cream which is very tasty and they still maintain that authentic taste which is such a great thing even...

I am actually a little saddened as I write this review . I ve known this place from early 2000's where we have had a lot of ice cream treats here. Now like any other enterprise their quality is declining slowly. I ordered a butterscotch milkshake and asked for a ice free one , they told me it's impossible without ice but I I got a cup of softy ice-cream mix with butterscotch essence crushed ice and some nuts..where I hoped to get a whipped cream with all the ingredients and not straight out a ice cream vending machine.. automation and commercialization is good but the customer should not pay the prize for it.
