Catch A Wave — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

During my visit to Mahabalipuram, I had the opportunity to dine at my brother's hotel. He was visiting from the US and graciously invited my son, my nephew, and my elder brother to enjoy a meal there. The hotel boasted a cozy rooftop dining area with a corner view of the seaside, offering a truly blissful experience. The soothing sound of the waves provided a beautiful backdrop.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Deepak and his attentive staff. The skies appeared gloomy, and we anticipated a drizzle, but to our surprise, the heavens opened up in a downpour. Undeterred, Deepak and his team began crafting their culinary magic in their compact kitchen.

Our order included dishes like Shrimp Fry, king shrimp thava fry, Crab in garlic sauce, and pepper lobster, the latter two still alive in a fish tank. The entire dining experience was nothing short of mind-blowing. We visited Mahabalipuram in August 2023 and stayed in Catch A Wave for a day. The host Deepak and the staff were excellent. We did not pre-book and picked the place an hour before we reached. We picked it purely based on the review about food and we were not disappointed.

They served fresh sea food. We picked a crab that weighed 1.7 kgs and had a wonderful dinner. I would equate the taste of the Crab to the ones served at the all famous "Ministry of Crab", Srilanka but at a very nominal cost.

For once, I saw my husband eating non-veg food with twinkle in his eyes. The food and the time that I spent at the restaurant will always remain special. Thank you, Deepak. Will visit again...

Recently I had stayed in this property with my friends for the new year celebration. Property is just located at 100 meters away from the sea shore. Really this property was very good and the room was very neat and tidy. Especially that property owner Mr. Michael Deepak was very good and polite in nature. The service we received from him was excellent. Ultimately the SEA foods which were prepared and served by him was very tasty. We had a chance to select the sea foods and had dining at the roof top restaurant with the beach view. So recommending this property to friends and even families...
