It started as a small sweet shop in the Mint area famous for the jalebis. In those years you had to go to the area around Parry's corner, Sowcarpet NSC Bose road to taste authentic North Indian food as those areas were populated with people from various parts of India as it is situated near the Central Railway Station. The Kakada shop was opened in 1956 ( as per info) and it has steadfastly grown into a recognised name. They're from Rajasthan ( as informed) and the taste of the dishes also reflects that. They have a variety of sweets including ghewar which is a traditional rajasthani sweet. I only had their Pani puri with 3 different flavours. I just couldn't stop eyeing for more. They have a live jalebi counter also. They have 2 branches - Mint street and Ormes Road and also a small kiosk in Pheonix Market City, Velachery. You can also order through Swiggy. Vegetarian Grilled Cheese Sandwich: This sandwich was absolutely amazing—definitely a must-try! It had the perfect balance of flavors, and the chutneys served alongside were just as delightful, elevating the entire snack experience.

Bhel Puri: The bhel puri was a standout as well, refreshing and bursting with flavors. Every bite was satisfying and left me wanting more.

Pricing: Somewhat expensive. But given that this was located on a Mall, it's acceptable.

Service: The service, however, was just okay. It felt borderline rude at times, which was a bit disappointing.
