Beautiful little hotel in perfect location to shops, cafes, bars on main drag or walk down to cliff bars for sunset cocktail. Perfect for couples or business professionals (good wifi connection), only hour taxi to international terminal and great check-in/check-out time.

I spent two nights here solo and loved how peaceful and relaxing it was when you stepped off the main road and really enjoyed the staircase pool which allowed the option of reading a book in the shallows or swimming about at the deep end. The day beds were really comfortable too and it was great to be able to pop back to the balcony bar area for a bit of respite from the sun under the fans and order a drink/snack. It’s hot by 8am so you can easily slip in a tan before you get on with exploring. Most daybeds are taken up for the day after breakfast because it’s a lovely environment to hang out in but there’s always 1-2 spare.

The rooms are a good size, air-conditioned, have individual styles, and everything is tidy / clean / well maintained with filtered bottled water changed daily. They won’t hesitate to make the room up for you around early arvo if you put the sign out and replace towels etc if you need. Staff are friendly, well-organised, and everything seems to operate well. Expect to hear distant music late at night from the main street (same wherever you go if you’re not remote) and they’ve taken this into consideration with complimentary ear plugs in the bathrooms. I actually loved the fact there was no TV in the bedrooms and that they play well-chosen ambient background music from the patio.

They have the option of small varied breakfast menu or afternoon snacks and refreshments (coffee, non-alcoholic, cocktails etc).

Artisan cafe next door is excellent anytime of day food-wise. I also found a gem of a cafe (Jeffry Coffee Shop) half way to the Uluwatu Temple.

NB: The temple is only 5-min taxi ride away and would not advise trying to walk as no footpaths/very hilly and weaving vehicles. Woman wear a long skirt / sarong with scarf around the middle and tshirt/covered shoulders. Anyone can hire sarong/scarf at the venue if you don’t have right gear.

Spring Spa Uluwatu is just down the road too which I highly recommend for well-priced pamper.

My two nights has felt like a week, and I’m leaving super re-charged. Thank you Ria...

Ria Uluwatu: A Mixed Bag of Beauty and Blunders

Ria Uluwatu certainly boasts a great location. Perched in a stunning spot, this boutique hotel is instaworthy, providing a picturesque backdrop. The staff also deserve commendation for their good service. They were consistently responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

However, our experience was significantly marred by what appeared to be poor management. We encountered an issue with the room (cottage 6), most notably the unsettling experience of termite falling from the roof. This raised serious concerns about the property's upkeep and the management's commitment to health and safety, which felt a bit questionable.

On a positive note, when we raised these issues, the staff were proactive in assisting us to rebook another place and promptly refunded our money. This demonstrated their dedication to guest satisfaction, a stark contrast to the apparent lack of preventative maintenance from the management.

In conclusion, while Ria Uluwatu offers a fantastic setting and a helpful team, the significant room problems and the apparent lack of proactive management regarding health and safety are serious drawbacks. Please note the staff mentioned this issue had appeared for the first time and was specific to our room only.

Potential guests should weigh the stunning location and attentive staff against the potential for any room issues and ensure it complies with health and safety issues.

Overall it was a mixed bag of beauty...

My stay at the Ria Hotel in Uluwatu, Bali was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into the exquisitely designed rooms, I was enveloped in a luxurious ambiance, where every detail seemed meticulously planned to enhance comfort and elegance.

The highlight for me was undoubtedly the stunning pool area, which not only boasted a stylish design but also featured a bar offering an array of delicious food and drinks. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Bali.

The staff at Ria Hotel were exceptional, led by Christina, the proactive hotel manager, who ensured seamless operations throughout my stay. Everyone, from reception to housekeeping, was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure my needs were met promptly.

The breakfast experience was a true delight, surpassing all expectations with its wide selection of impeccably presented dishes. The quality and taste matched the hotel's high standards, making each morning a delightful culinary journey.

Located in the heart of Uluwatu, the hotel offers not just luxury but also convenience, with easy access to the best attractions and amenities in town. Whether for relaxation or exploration, Ria Hotel is undoubtedly the perfect choice for an unforgettable...

I recently stayed at this fantastic hotel in the heart of Uluwatu, and it exceeded all of my expectations. Our room came with a private pool, offering complete privacy and the perfect setting for a truly relaxing getaway. The standout aspect of our visit was the incredible staff. We encountered some health issues during our stay, and their genuine care and support made us feel right at home. Every team member went out of their way to ensure our comfort and well-being. Breakfast each morning was a delight—a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to kick-start our day. Coupled with the ideal location, everything we needed was within walking distance. Situated in the center of Uluwatu, the hotel is surrounded by an array of restaurants and local attractions, making exploration effortless. A special mention goes to the hotel manager, who, sharing our Spanish heritage, provided a unique and personal touch that truly enriched our experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel 100% for anyone seeking privacy, exceptional service, and a memorable stay in Uluwatu.
