I ate dinner at Vida Loca twice in a row. The first night, we were vibing with the artwork, there was live music, and we enjoyed the food, especially the croquetas. In fact, we enjoyed this place so much, we wanted to get t-shirts. I asked the manager if she had 2 t-shirts and she acted as if I was annoying her and made me feel uncomfortable. It was if she didn’t want to sell them. I didn’t love my interaction with her but my friend and I loved the food so we decided to go back a second time.
My friend and I ordered 2 appetizers and a dinner plate. The waiter took our order and when he delivered it, he commented that it was a lot of food, too much food, and then asked if we were going to eat it all. It was really weird and we just brushed him off and thought maybe it was a language thing. Then he came over to our table and said he would help me eat my food. I was just shocked and didn’t say anything. Then when he was taking away my friend’s plate, there was a small piece of bread on it and he asked me if I wanted to eat it (as he was taking it away). My friend told him that he was being rude and I went to talk to the manager but she wasn’t there so I explained to other staff working there what had happened, that we were uncomfortable, and do not want him coming back to our table. A staff member apologized and we paid and left. I will not be going back there, even if the food was good. It was just unnecessary rudeness and there are other good restaurants around with polite staff. Other than the manager and this one waiter, all the other...
Read moreWe were a small group of 9ppl and loved the atmosphere and were looking forward to this meal as the menu looked awesome when we looked on line. Unfortunately the food however was not very impressive and a major let down. Ordered 3 items as tapas and one was pulled pork that I pointed at on the menu and the waitress told me what size portion it was and when it came out she brought me Octopus instead and when I told her this isn’t pulled pork she said it was and I thought it was the calamari I also ordered. We soon realised that “Pulpo” (sounds like pulled pork) is octopus I didn’t want to make a fuss and ate it even thought it was 3 times the price and it was extremely chewy and tuff. 3 people in the group had Spanish mackerel and all of them were overcooked and dry. In fact most of the food was overcooked and dry and even simple chips were oily and soft. The 3 dip platter was tasteless or though presented nicely. We also had some smokers on a table next to us which was not nice during dinner. So unfortunately I can’t recommend to go here which is disappointing. I have no photos of the food as we were all very unimpressed We had some Fish cockets and a seafood salad...
Read moreDont waste your time here. I never leave bad reviews anywhere but after giving this place THREE chances I can confirm my disgust. The food is awful. The fried calamari are re-fried and the sauce taste and looks like the container has been left out of the fridge. The meat is not cooked nicely. The drinks are super expensive for the quality which is super bad. The empanadas are not good and they always have issues. They make mistakes with the orders often and then they want to charge you for what you did not eat. When I told the staff the food wasn’t nice they didn’t care to know what was wrong and even tho we didn’t eat they charged us the whole amount. They often ran out of options after they took your order and they bring first one main, 5 minutes later the starter and then the second main (even tho we were almost the only customers so they had time). I’m Argentinian and I wound tegomend this restaurant or even be back. It’s a shame because the vibe is nice and the pool table is a nice add. You need to work on your customer seevoce and on your food...
