Great little restaurant and we tried most of the fish and vegetarian meals, basic breakfast with several courses of American and Indonesian . Happy hour for beer was all day - yeah Bintang!!! Very friendly and caring employees especially Petu, Ketut (x2) Made (x3) and Gede. There was live music couple of times a week. We had a very large room and 7 foot bed! on 3rd floor and used the stairs without problem. The room was cleaned daily and free water provided. The AC worked very well and Wi-Fi was pretty good for the number of rooms and worked ok in rooms and by the pool. The pool was clean and the grounds kept meticulously. The massage ladies Ayu and Nyoman were fantastic and soothed away any stress. There was local and pay TV channels for all travellers. We will definitely be back again and we met many travellers who had stayed at La Walon for many years and booked each year in advance, that says allot about the employees and how...
Read moreThis was my 3rd stay this time for 29 days. I booked as it was great value and I new the standard I was getting from my previous stays. I must say that it was a brilliant hotel. For a little of a thousand dollars for the stay with breakfast I couldn’t have been happier. The staff at both the hotel a restaurant made me feel at home. Wifi in the room was only ok but at the restaurant was perfect. TV, a/c, fridge and safe as well has as free bottled water each day not sure what more you need. And of course there were little Bali quirks like if you ran the shower flat out the drain couldn’t keep up but they’re the little things you expect when staying at great value for money places. And the food at the restaurant was amazing. If you want marble bathrooms and and happy to pay $4.00 per beer going and pay $150+ elsewhere. I was extremely happy with La Walon and of course their...
Read moreWe booked this hotel because we had friends staying there & we were in Kuta at the same time.||This hotel is about 50 years old and should be demolished.||In our room the hot water didnt work in the mornings, lights & fans not working, mosquito mesh with holes, the safe in the wardrobe was held by a tiny screw, the restaurant is part of the car park, Bear Grylls probably wouldn't eat the breakfast.||The mattress was horrible & the pillows were worse!||The pool is cold becaue it gets little sunlight & the swim bar has no drinks! If you want a drink or food you have to get out of the pool and bang a timber gong to try and get someone's attention.||It''s a shame because the staff were lovely.||The location in Poppies 1 about 70% of buildings are empty or damaged so the street is nearly emply with hookers & crack heads hanging around, probably the worst street in Kuta....
