DO NOT BOOK THIS YOGA RETREAT - WASTE OF MONEY
First of all I was booked into a room on the ground floor which looks straight out to the ‘pool area’ so completely no privacy unless the room is pitch black. I asked to move upstairs and they said it wasn’t possible. Then when I told them I would like a refund so I can stay somewhere else they all of a sudden had a room available. The room upstairs was much nicer. However for the price of this accomodation compared to others close by is shocking.
The bathrooms smelt bad, there were no hand towels, the beds were so uncomfortable I didn’t sleep well at all, they don’t clean the rooms and they give you a thick blanket with an awful texture to sleep with and no under sheet.
On the first night the owner was with a group smoking and drinking taking up the whole outdoor seating area keeping me awake… not very relaxing or zen.
The pool area had no shade and the floor was this awful dirt kinda sand texture.
On the last day they ran out of food so the ‘breakfast included’ in your package was non existent
The ‘relaxing massage’ included in your package was the furthest thing from relaxing. A dark dingey and not very clean place set on a main road where you can hear every motorcycle go past and every conversation happening next door. They also drop you off but don’t pick you up from the massage.
While the yoga teachers were lovely and I enjoyed their energy and their offerings I would not have booked this retreat knowing that they were not actually teaching the classes that were being advertised. If you have a strong practice then this place is not for you.
This place is completely overpriced for the value.
You can book a bungalow with beach access and a beach club across the road for the same price.
They are charging 600,000IDR for a surf lesson. The other surf companies are charged 250,000IDR for the exact same.
If you would like a relaxing massage then go to Harumaya day spa. They pick you up and actually drop you back to your accomodation free of charge and is a very peaceful experience.
If you want good yoga classes that have classes that cater from beginner and offer advance then go to Yoga Bliss. I had a couple of great classes there.
The staff were all lovely at isla Indah and the food was also very nice in the Pisang Pisang restaurant but my favourite place to eat was Kayu.
I hope you don’t book and get ripped off by this extortionate place like I did. If the price was half the amount then I wouldn’t be...
Read moreThis place is the highlight of my Lembongan trip. Room is brand new construction with everything well planed - sunny bedroom + very spacious bathroom + balcony where you can hang-dry surfing/diving clothing and gear. Everything they use is of high-quality, from AC, to shower-head, to sheets and towels (something I really appreciated after traveling in Indonesia for a while :)). Furniture and decoration speak to owner's great taste (I particularly like the wood carvings and how they match throughout the entire place). They offer on-site dining, yoga, plus transportation, surfing and free-diving lessons - all great services at very reasonable price. Actually if they help you book transportation it might be cheaper than you book it yourself (I found out after talking to a fellow traveler on the exact same boat from Bali). They do put their heart into everything and want you to feel at home (rather than making money off you). And they absolutely did an amazing job making the place welcoming, convenient, and nourishing. I loved the Thursday buffers and it's definitely a great way to meet and connect with other cool travelers. I am very happy with this place, and I wholeheartedly recommend Isla Indah and...
Read moreWe just had a wonderful 4 days at the Isla Indah Resort. I highly recommend the yoga surfing package. We had a total blast doing it and it included a snorkelling trip with manta rays which was the jewel on the crown. The resort itself is small and intimate giving it more of a home stay feel than an impersonal resort. The staff are friendly, accomodating and helpful, the rooms spacious and the food to die for. Vegan and gluten free options are also available which was fantastic. The rooms have a king-sized four poster bed with great supportive pillows, have both aircon and ceiling fan, and have a huge shower; fantastic after a hard surfing session - hot and great water pressure. There were 3 types of yoga, plus meditation to choose from so I think any level of Yogi would be happy. There is also free diving lessons available if that is something you might be interested in. The resort itself is a short walk to the beach where there are a heap of bars and restaurants you can relax in, compete with bean bags on the sand for your sublime comfort. We will be...
