Pisang-Pisang Restaurant — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

I visited Pisang Pisang shop in Nusa Lembongan on December 30th ,2024. I have already visited this shop in December 2023 and bought few cosmetics like lip balm etc . So this December 2024 also I thought of visiting & buying lip balms and other stuffs. I picked all the items I need and went for billing. My billing amount was 2,44,000 IDR . To the cashier I was trying to give exact amount ( I was also interested to give out all small cash with me , as I was leaving the next day from Bali ) but the person in the bill counter was making fun of me, since I was searching and giving exact cash. He even asked me " Are you holidaying in Bali or working in Bali ? " . This was very rude. I really hate this kind of behavior. I think they should know we are tourists and we do not know that, in their country small cash is not taken that seriously. I wish they don't treat any tourists this way...

I want to mention that the food here is indeed delicious, but my experience was severely impacted by the awful service. The staff was extremely slow, and it felt like they didn’t care about the customers. I was basically ignored the whole time.

What’s even more disappointing is that after I left a negative review about my experience, the management actually threatened to remove my review if I didn’t change it to a more positive one! This is completely unprofessional and shows how they handle criticism in an inappropriate way. My negative review was removed without any chance to express an honest opinion.

It’s a shame because the food is great, but the poor service really ruins the whole experience. I hope the management becomes more open to feedback and improves their service...

Unfortunately, the manager takes the view that the more money she can extract from you, the better.

Asked for a spoonful of Nutella, got charged for the entire jar ($2).

It’s Bali, you can expect to be overcharged a little, but not by 10x the price of something. There is no price on the menu & she didn´t say anything when she gave me the spoon of Nutella.

Absolutely unfair treatment.

On another occasion, I observed the kitchen staff using the toilet & not washing their hands, then going straight into the kitchen.

EDIT: the day after posting this review, the manager saw me and chased me down to tell me she was unhappy with my review and that "if I didn´t like the price, I should have gotten my ass to the shop and bought the nutella myself"!
