Pita Maha Resort & Spa — Hotel in Pulau Bali

The Pita Maha is an amazing resort. Been here for 10 days and it's been the most awesome stay I've had anywhere in the world. The individual villas are very impressive set within very lush and green surroundings. The staff here are the real gems of the resort. Nothing is any trouble for them & they are committed to you having the best vacation.

Breakfast/dinner is varied and plentiful and if you don't wish to go to the restaurant you can have it delivered to your outside dining area for no additional cost. Housekeeping twice a day and anything else you need is a phone call away.

I will definitely stay here again.

An amazing place with amazing staff... This is my second stay here at the resort in Ubud. I think it's truly an amazing place. The grounds are very lush and tropical looking which are maintained very well, everyday you see staff attending to the landscape, the pool is very impressive and has an infinity feel about it. Villas are very private & secluded and you don't really see or hear other guests when in your villa. The villas are typically off Balinese design, authentic but at the same time quite modern. TV, fridge, safe, scales, hair dryer, kettle etc etc Very large furnished open plan living area complete with a large furnished patio and a garden with or without pool, all villas overlook the nearby forest/jungle. Breakfast is cooked/served fresh and with enough choices to suit all. Eggs (cooked however you like), sausages, Bacon, ham, noodles, crepes, French toast, yogurts, cereals, Danish pastries, crossiants with all the juices/teas/coffees you could want. One of the best things we found was if we didn't fancy going to the restaurant we would simply just call down to order and our breakfast would be brought to the villa for us to eat outside on the patio (if staying at a poolside villa you could have a floating breakfast) There is no additional charge for this service.

Housekeeping comes twice a day but we normally dismiss the second clean as it's not really needed. There is a free shuttle service going from the hotel to the center of town and back 3/4 times daily. It's within walking distance (1.5km) but sometimes you just need a lift.

But without doubt the best thing here is the staff. Nothing seems too much trouble and they are always very keen to help you out. They may not all quite understand you at first but once it's clear what you need then it's no problem at all. There was a really nice message painted on the floor in our villa with flower cuttings on our 2 visit. I was in the restaurant one morning when all the staff came in and sang happy birthday to another guest! Joni the manager is always contactable (gave me his WhatsApp) and helps out with anything I need or need to know.

It's really an amazing resort and I'll be staying here for a third time for sure.

The menu offered diverse options, from classic favourites to innovative dishes with unique flavour combinations. Whether you're in the mood for a marvellous breakfast, fresh seafood, juicy bbq, or creative cocktails, the Resort has it all. The bartender made our favourite cocktail using Balanise Arak, which pleased the crowd tremendously.

The enchanted candlelight dinner was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. We were treated to impeccable service and attention to detail. The outdoor ambience was absolutely perfect, with soft lighting and elegant decor creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere. The delicious food and wine only added to the magic of the evening, making it a memory we will cherish forever.

The infinity pool at the Resort and Spa is equally impressive. The Resort offers beautiful pool villas, each with its unique atmosphere and style that will make you feel like you're in a dream.

The resort manager, Agung Joni, was outstanding in every way. He was welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. His exceptional management skills and dedication to customer service truly made my stay a memorable one.

If this review was based on service while staying at pita maha we would give it a 5+ but there were several other contributing factors.

Before we arrived, while on a 17 hour flight to bali, we received messages that we didn’t confirm our reservation and they were going to give it away. Once we told them we were still going, it was okay. On our way to the hotel a week later, we were told the room had a leak but we would be upgraded for one night to a nice hotel. We were certainly taken care of as the upgraded hotel was amazing and pita maha transported us to and from and also gave us free massages and a floating breakfast for the inconvenience. The staff even decorated the room for us and filled the tub with flowers as it was our honeymoon.

The rooms at pita maha were really nice, though we had a bit of a mosquito problem in the room, even being certain to keep the doors closed. There was some construction on the other side of the river that was only a minor inconvenience.

Now the staff and service with amazing. Maid service in the morning and night, our water was always refilled. The staff in the restaurant were so friendly and welcoming. We had offerings outside of our room every day which made us feel special and like we were part of the pita maha family. We were even given a little gift as we left and it was such a nice touch to already unbelievable service. They also were very accommodating to my gluten allergy! They made us a special gluten free honeymoon cake!

The location is also perfect, just enough removed from the chaos so that it was quiet, but also very close to town if you wanted to walk a long walk or rent a scooter from the shop literally right next door.
