After a year we decided to come back and give a try, our first experience was tasteless. The place is so cozy, nice atmosphere and friendly staff but the food is the problem.... no flavour at all...not as we know like Indian food. The palak tofu was totally not like an Indian dish.... We got only one rice side option to choose (no basmati, no Jasmine, aromatic...) simple white rice and was mushy soggy, simply overcooked rice that absorbed too much water leaving a gummy result that obviously was terrible with the unflavoured palak tofu. The kitchari the same, no flavour at all... and the chappatis... were simple not good. We never left an Indian restaurant with that disappointment, for us was totally not Indian food, didn't reach the minimun expectations. The good stuff is that they provide vegan options for those not eating ghee, we were so happy with that, thank you. Prices were ok. We wanted to try more stuff but almost everything that we wanted to order was not available, maybe cuz was late nite then maybe was our fault. We will be happy to try again in the future if the...

🍽️ Limited Choices: The menu is a tad basic, leaving you wanting more variety.
👨🍳 Simple Delights: The food is simple, perhaps a bit too much. While it's nice, a dash more flavor could elevate the experience. Dal khichdi looked too pale. (Check pics attached)
🏠 Charming Ambiance: The cozy setting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. They have clothing to sell as well. Not sure where there focus lies.
🛣️ Exploration Encouraged: While there are better Indian spots nearby, this one has its charm. If you're up for a simple and cozy vibe, give it a shot. However, nearby options offer a more adventurous culinary journey.
In a nutshell, this spot's simplicity has its appeal, but a touch more variety in the menu could turn it into a hidden gem. Great for a low-key evening, but don't hesitate to explore other flavors...
Read moreWe stayed in Ubud for 4 nights and Mumbai station was a blessing in disguise!! Me being a vegetarian, struggled to the core to have some vegetarian only and that too, the desi style. Mumbai station was right next to the resort we stayed in and we literally had to just hop in to grab a seat there. Bali people were extremely pleasing and humble to tourists and the staff members at Mumbai station were no different. They were extraordinarily courteous and kind to their guest. The Kichdi, set dosa’s, rajma, paneer bhurji , rose lassi, mumbai thaali!! splendid!! My tastebuds were reborn after a stearing tour in multiple hotels and restaurants and finding it difficult to adapt to the indonesian nasi goreng. Thanks to Mumbai Station for it. If at all I re-plan a stay at ubud, its a sure shot place to revist— Mumbai Station team, keep rocking and keep serving the best as...
