This is our first time staying in boutique ‘villa’ accommodation versus a hotel.
What makes these Villas special is the location - the Grounds/gardens are Lush, tropical and tranquil. If you want peace and quiet, once you step inside you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. The breakfast which was included can be served on the terrace outside your room. There is also a small restaurant onsite which is very good which can cater to all of your meals at a very reasonable price.
Just a short walk away, there is a laundry across the road, money changer, scooter hire and warungs. 5 min walk brings you to the main road.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Instructions were explained clearly.
We chose the Terrace Suite Room. It was clean, cute, scandi style, however not very practical as there was no room for open suitcases. It is very tight for space. One suggestion I would like to make is the bathroom needs some maintenance. The toilet leaking at the back into a corner drain is not appealing. The two shower fittings, the ceiling fitting sprays water where the pipe fits into the head on the top. And the wall fitting is wobbly and at the height suitable for a midget. The towels were nice, however the pool towels were horribly stained and off putting.
I loved laying on the daybed in the lounge area and looking out at the greenery. The aircon and fan were cool and the bed was comfortable.
One main thing to consider when choosing this accommodation over a bigger hotel - is the Bali wide Power Outages that are occurring frequently. One recently on 12/4 and another on 2/5 from 4pm to 11pm. We were without water as well as electricity as this accommodation does not have a back up generator. After being out all day, it was very inconvenient to return home, walk past the staff and no one advised us about the power issue. So tried to wash hands covered with soap then discovered the water was off. We asked for candles as it started to get dark and extra water so we could wash ourselves. It was so hot inside we drenched ourselves in bug spray and sat outside on the lounges. Would have appreciated a little more initiative, it’s out of their control but please consider installing a generator.
The breakfasts were very good :)
Overall, we would recommend to stay here especially if you desire a peaceful...
Read moreWe booked the Suit Terrace and we had some queries before we arrived in Ubud. The manager Ketut S was very helpful and he answered all are queries as well as arranged airport pickup on the day of arrival. We car was comfortable, driver away an Putu was safe driver and he even had chilled water bottles in the car for us. We reached hotel around midnight and the staff was there to greet up and did a fast checking , took the breakfast order , the room was clean and had fresh linen. There was a bar fridge with beverages, complimentary coffee, tea and milk. They provide forever water for drinking , saves the cost of buying the plastic bottles. You can request them to fill as many bottles from the kitchen. We brought our own refillable water bottles to carry during the day. They will always top up the bottles in the room . We had breakfast at the resort everyday and there were few good options you can choose from like eggs, pancakes, nasi goreng. Friday, juice, yogurt, etc. The staff was always smiling and ready to have a chat . They were keen to know about us as much as we wanted to learn about Balinese way of life. I always looked forward to our even tea time as they have refreshing tea and coffee as well as a home baked cake. Ira has magic in her hands when it comes to baking. The swimming pool was clean and kind of infinity pool amidst the bamboo trees and facing a forest. We never had any issue while we stayed at the villa for 7 days. It was 500mts from the main ,few eateries and convenience stores on the way and laundry just across the road. It was away from the business of Main Street yet still convenient. They have a garden lounge and a kitchen where you can order in yummy food as per the menu. Menu consisted of western and Indonesian items . Lots of beverages to choose from . A quite beautiful resort , the staff was well taken care of and that showed in their behaviour and work, they all work very hard to keep their guests happy, they will check in on you , they will clean the room everyday . If you want to stay a little away from business yet have a great time , this...
