delicious food at a good price!

me and my mom went there for a simple dinner - and liked it so much we went there at least 6 times in sum (i lost count). the food is very good. my favourites were:

chicken/tofu cashew nut: very nice. a huge portion (satisfied the 2 of us honestly) and it was ordered by one of us 3 separate times. a lot of chicken/tofu and so many cashew nuts! the sauce is delicious and rich in taste. chicken noodle soup: cheap, amazingly spiced, and delicious (obviously!). a lot of noodles, chicken, everything. very tasty and a satisfying dish fish curry: there was SO much fish once again 1 portion was fine for 2 people hungry after visiting the monkey forest 🐒. the curry itself was so good i could’ve actually had just it with rice no fish required. full of vegetables, and delicious taste.

there is only 1 downside to this place: fairly long waiting times, but this is because they prepare the food on hand (literally not even pre-sliced meat or anything of that kind). very fresh and authentic because of this!

We were at Suka Sehat during our stay in Ubud. People were kind, like most of the places we visited. Very pleasant. The street was noisy, but it was ok for us. The decoration of the restaurant is nice and chairs are comfortable. Despite of the two steps at the entrance, there is enough space for strollers. The plates are jolly presented but not enough garnished for my taste - not enough french fries ! The burgers were good, but not exceptional, however for the price it was ok. The dessert we took - dadar gulung and fried banana - were really delicious. The iced tea we took were good too. I think we will come back to...

I was recommended this place by the guy who I rented my scooter from and I was not disappointed. Their Tommy Yum was the best I’ve ever had, the smoothie was rich and creamy, the fish skewers on the lemongrass was genius, and everything else I tried was delicious, including the fried bananas with vanilla ice cream. I chatted with the owner after my meal and had a lovely conversation, super friendly staff and convenient location make this place an all around winter for me and I will be back.
