Booked the Junior suite literally as I was walking into Almafi through Booking.com. I chose it due to the reasonable price. It was quite fun (though I only had a duffle bag) seaching for the hotel through the alleyways. Upon arriving we were greeted amd promptly given our 1 key. 2 would have been better but for 1 night it was fine. Pros: ease of booking online through Booking.com, prompt check in, great view from room, love how the doors open up, nice breakfast spot on lanai, bed was surprising comfortable, mosaic style floors. Cons: street noise made it difficult to keep windows open all night, woke up to swarmer termites in the room, shower seemed to be out dated and fixtures were very loose, bath was nice but had no drain stopper so we made our own. Jets in tub need to be cleaned after every use! All in all it was a pleasant stay for 1 night. Hope my generic drawn map will help you. If you find stairs going up and it seems dark and may have a cat or two youre there!

Rooms are a good size, decorative a little old fashioned in my opinion however very clean and the bathroom has a great shower. Breakfast is a normal mainland European (cold meats and sweets). Well worth the money and in a great location. Would recommend 👍

My partner and I traveled all over Europe, stayed in over 15 different hotels during this time, and this place was BY FAR the WORST.

Firstly, the main issue is the air conditioner. Amalfi is a hot part of the world and our room had an AC that did not work. It simply blew out hot air and occasionally cold air. Coming back from being outside in the 35 degree heat all day to a room that was consistently at 33-36 degrees at all times was terrible, with many other people staying at the hotel complaining about the same thing. Sleeping was terrible and our room was hotter than outside. Open the window and you’re welcomed with bugs. The only way to keep the place semi bearable was by having the AC on all day, however the cleaners would turn it off when they came to clean the room and open the window to let the bugs of Amalfi find a new home. When we spoke to the staff, they stated that they were aware of this issue for a long time and offered an insincere “sorry” with no solution.

We paid 200 euro a night for this place and had an adjoining sliding door to another room. We initially thought this was the cleaning cupboard. How wrong we were. There were other people staying in this room! It was to the point where we could hear every conversation they had. Every laugh and every cough. It was horrible. It felt like we had no privacy and could not sleep when the other room decided they wanted a late night, again only a locked door separating the two rooms.

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY IN AMALFI.

Completely ruined our experience of an otherwise beautiful part of the world and I would not recommend this place to anybody. Bewildered as to how this place has...

Great views. Rooms, bath & patio are nice. But.... Free WiFi in hotel, NO WIFI in rooms. “Do not disturb” means nothing to them. They came in to our rooms every day and moved our stuff around even when we clearly had the do not disturb light on. My husband wanted to sleep in late one morning and they still knocked to clean the room which of course woke him up. When we asked for clean towels the day my husband slept in they wanted to charge us. The key situation is very inconvenient. The door is a regular key and the lights/hotel entrance after hours is a card. You only get 1 of each so basically you can never separate from your partner or you have no way of entering hotel/room. The key is needed to close the room door from outside. This is a huge inconvenience. LOTS of stairs to get to hotel. Be prepared. We are pretty fit so it was fine for us but if you are older good luck dragging your luggage up the stairs. It would be a great service if they warned you about stairs before arrival and potentially offered to assist with luggage if needed but they only have a young female receptionist and good luck getting help. Oh and BTW receptionist is gone by 8pm so make sure you time your...
