Masaniello Art Café — Restaurant in Amalfi

Overall, the atmosphere at this restaurant was lovely and our waiter was very nice and accommodating. My family members all ordered sandwiches and they enjoyed them. I would highly recommend the patatas bravas which were well seasoned and crispy.

A word of warning for vegans and poke bowl enjoyers: If you are accustomed to eating poke bowls at restaurants that specialize in poke, you may be unhappy with the poke bowls here. Someone in another review said that this was the best poke bowl they ever had which is what prompted me to order the vegan poke bowl. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the rice was nothing like what I am usually served at a poke restaurant. Usually, the rice in poke bowls is sticky, well-seasoned sushi rice. The rice that was in the poke bowl I ate here was basmati rice (like the kind you would get on the side at an Indian restaurant) and it was very dry. There was also no sauce except soy sauce which was provided on the side.

Tonight a woman who I do not know and who I told to go away 3 times when she continued to poke me and tick her hands in my face poured her alcohol into my eyes, which stung. In case there is any discrepancy with the police you will see my above story corroborated on the security camera. She said many rude things and I told her I did not approve of feminism - is basically what set her off. Extremely aggressive tourist women here.

EDIT: Thanks for your reply. I have edited the review considering the bar itself, I realize, has nothing to do with their conduct. I don't know if they were really drunk or just a bully group... But I realize it is totally their fault and not yours. Regardless, it is wise for me to document this in case of false allegations, which I expect those who pour alcohol in the face of strangers would engage in. It was two girls and some Indian guy trying to regular them without success. I am sorry such tourists give you a bad name. "Face control" could be done by any of your staff to remedy...
