I stayed here for two nights in April and it was perfect. It is a couple of minutes walk from the Cathedral, the Fountain of the Elephant and Etnea so perfect for seeing the sights of Catania on foot. It is a few minutes walk from Piazza Borsellino from where you can catch buses that will take you to other parts of Sicily. You can also get to the airport from there for approx 4 euros and takes 20 minutes. Antonella and Alex are excellent hosts - welcoming, helpful and give recommendations for food, activities etc. The rooms are spotless, large and very comfortable. Rooms have table, chairs and a mini fridge. Bathrooms have toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving kit and shampoo. Breakfast is served on the terrace and you are allocated your own table for the duration of your stay. Lovely to sit there with a glass of wine with Mt Etna in the distance. The breakfast was freshly made by Antonella and she even bakes here own croissants. On the second morning, she served home made lemon pie which was delicious. I highly recommend...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here in May of 2025 and would heartily recommend it to any travelers.||The location was superb, convenient to the duomo, piazzas, and restaurants. An elevator took us to the 4th (US 5th) floor location. Our room was meticulously clean, with a comfortable bed, en suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet. A delicious breakfast was cooked and served daily on a balcony with a view of Mt. Etna.||Best of all, our hosts, Antonella and Alex, were so very informative and welcoming! They communicated promptly with us via email and WhatsApp regarding the booking details. They gave us excellent recommendations for dining and where to do laundry. Because it was raining, Alex even offered to take our laundry to the laundromat and do it for us (we didn’t accept), and they gave us plastic bags so that the clean laundry would remain dry on the way back.||Catania is a beautiful city, and we would strongly recommend the Casa Provenza to any travelers who want...
Read moreWhatever I write will be little about Casa Provenza and its hosts. Everything was wonderful and Antonella and Alex are just gorgeous, smiling, kind and responsive hosts. It was a pleasure to be their guests and when we visit Catania again we wouldn't stay anywhere else but with them. Gorgeous room, unique terrace with views and amenities, location in the heart of Catania, and the breakfast... Ah, the breakfast!!! We felt like we were at mom's - delicious, fresh and whenever we wanted it. Really, I couldn't be happier that we chose them and will choose them again when we visit Catania again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, dear Antonella and Alex, for making our holiday so wonderful. Without you, it wouldn't be the same! Kisses and...
