Teatro Machiavelli — Attraction in Catania

This place was a theater in which famous Sicilian artists, like the poet Pirandello, was used to come in the past. Nowadays, it hosts temporary art exhibitions in the main halls visible from the square. The teather itself is placed in the basement, and it is not visible until you come inside.

I did not know the story of this place, and that was a pity. Placed in the very downtown, this theater has the potential to be arranged as a little museum of comedy and poetry. Ci si trova davanti alla culla del Teatro Italiano. Posto al P.Terra del Palazzo Sangiuliano proprio dirimpetto all'arcinoto Palazzo Centrale dell'Università. Ho assistito ad una performance spettacolare, straordinaria, avanguardistica. Habitus é stato per me un esempio di comunicazione effettiva che ha stimolato emozioni e pensieri. Le scelte musicali, le luci e pure l´inversione stage / pubblico che ha avuto come conseguenza una originalissima scenografia rappresentata dalle scale del Machiavelli.
